I know it's only a teaser trailer, but this already looks 10 times better than the first movie.
Making James Spader a literal comic book villain is the best casting decision anyone ever made. Ultron's voice is just pure awesomeness.
Hulk vs the Hulkbuster... oh my :thud:My Body is ready for this movie.
Edit: Only Marvel can take such a fun- happy song and turn it into such an amazing/creepy villain song.

I absolutely loved the way they showed Captain America's broken shield and transitioned into showing, what appears to be Ultron in his final form, saying "there are no strings on me." Very, very, very sinister. Did you notice Andy Serkis as Klaw? We're basically guaranteed a Black Panther (in Wakanda) film.

I can't think of any other character he'd be, not that that rules out other possibilities though. But I would make most sense, since he looks the part and could fit into the context of the story. Klaw could supply Ultron with Vibranium and it would make sense to begin laying groundwork for the eventual Black Panther movie. I'm just too exicted for this movie ...May hurry up!

REally good trailer, looks like they are going for a darker theme this time which is exactly what I prefer. Only thing I didnt' like was the background music, but that's just trailer so won't really matter.

It's Pinocchio's “I've Got No Strings” song, done to absolutely nightmarish perfection. I love it for Ultron.

I think it's pretty darn certain that Serkis will be playing Klaw. I thought Ultron was made of adamantium though, and not vibranium. I think them showing Captain America's broken shield, which is made of vibranium, ties in with Serkis as Klaw. In the comics, it's Black Panther who helps Captain America regain the vibranium shield. I love how you can already see how this film will lead into the Civil War storyline. It's such a damn shame Marvel don't own Spider-Man's rights (for the Civil War storyline).

It might help for people who are familiar with teh song, but since I"m not, it just felt really random to me and not at all creepy. In fact it was the completely opposite of creepy, which is why I didn't like it.

WOWW -- this is what I had been wanting to see since I had murmurs about it. Absolutely mind blowing This is where Marvel/Disney have been so good. Such light-hearted moments embedded in some intense action and storytelling. And it looks like they will continue to be brilliant

The greatest part is when Captain America moves Mjolnir and Thor has that "oh, sh*t" look on his face. It's a great nod to the comics where Captain America is actually worthy of wielding Mjolnir, and does so for a period of time.

On further considerations after watching the trailer, in a sort of exercise of the imagination, I wouldn't be surprised if. . . {Spoiler} Captain America actually does use Mjolnir. If you examine the shot of Captain America's broken shield, you'll see that Thor is actually lying down beside it, so it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility that such a situation compels Captain America to be able to wield Mjolnir.
Similarly, another thought of mine, given the shot of Klaw in the trailer-- I actually do think Ultron will obtain vibranium from Klaw, and Ultron's final form will actually be composed of vibranium (as opposed to adamantium).
In any case, I'm damn excited for whatever does end up happening. Especially consider the schedule that Marvel has released for phase three, following the Civil War storyline, leading into what they're referring to as the Infinity War-- Marvel, take my money. Take it all. You can have it now.

I would totally love to see that happen. IMO it would make the perfect sense. This movie is realy looking great so far, I think it has potential to be better than the Avengers as they hopefully won't have to go through the 'bickering' part again.

oh I didn't realise we were getting it earlier than even America It has actually become a trend for the big movies these days. They release a week early in the major non American markets, and by the time they come to America the hype is usually ridiculous. Its turning into a very profitable model apparently

^oh really, that's strange, I would have thought they wouldn't want to do it to avoid illegal downloading and spoilers leaking. But I guess if it makes more money fair enough. That really sucks for you guys over there though.

I read some reviews and they're mixed. It's not the reviews themselves (kingsman got mixed reviews but I think it's the best mainstream film of the year so far) but the fact that they're saying it's not as good as the 1st avengers.

Loved the movie. Definitely a better movie than the 1st one for me. I really liked the The Avengers, loved it at some point (until some of the flaws became more apparent), it takes like 30 minutes to get going, the cinematography is blahhhh, but when it starts firing, it fires on all cylinders.
AOU is way more even, right off the bat with the opening sequence and a dizzying tracking shot. It’s a better movie (IMO) for me simply because it’s much more character driven. It delves much deeper into our heroes, and it’s darker (so to speak, it’s still a marvel movie) and tragic at times.
It’s kind of baffling how well Whedon navigates throughout the whole thing, there are just sooo many goddam characters to track, and they all get their moment, ALL of them, {Spoiler} heck, even Clint's wife.
The new additions are fantastic. Vision is as brilliant as he was hyped up to be. Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch are great. The movie’s pretty funny as well, but I really love how ‘almost’ dark it gets at times, especially that one scene with Scarlet Witch {Spoiler} where she screws with their minds
That was great great stuff.
All in all, a worthy and satisfying sequel. Rating 9/10

I really loved the movie too. Hard to say right now if it's better than the first cause, only time will tell how well it lives up. I don't know at this stage how much rewatch value the movie really has for me. But for now, it was very entertaining, I liked the character interactions between the avengers, the actions scenes are fantastic, and I definitely loved the darker moments, though i do wish they were more. Flaws, well there was nothing major, but a lot of small things that kinda do add up when I actually think of it. I guess like with some past marvel movies, I think they tried to force in humour at inappropriate moments and ruin tension, but I guess that's just a marvel thing, it seems they care more about making the audience laugh than providing tense moments. I have to just accept that it's not going to change (at least in movies as on tv they have daredevil) I thought Thor was underused once again, I was really hoping they would give him more this time since he's my favourite of the Avengers but sadly no. Isn't he like one of the most powerful heroes. Instead it's again iron man who gets most focus though at least that it somewhat understandable as he's the one who created Ultron and Iron Man is definitely the most popular marvel hero I think But Black Widow was also overused and I really didn't care for her romance with the Hulk, I though it came out of nowhere, there was no lead up in prior movies and she was already in love with him from the start here. I actually thought from earlier movies that it would be either hawk eye or Steve Rogers they set her up with, but the Hulk..that was really random. and it wouldn't be so bad if they actually developed it, but they didn't, it was just thrown in there. That was the only really boring thing in the movie for me. I did like Hawkeye's sidestory though, that was sweet. Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch were good, though I did think their story was somewhat rushed as well, instead of that thing with Black Widow I mentioned above, they should have focused more on these two considering they were new and especially since they killed Quicksilver . The acting from Scarlet Witch was very good but can't say the same for her brother, I found it hard to understand what he was saying some of the time and he seemed very wooden, like when he's speaking about his parents death, that was just a bland performance . Also, the way they handled Quicksilver's death, seemed a little too contrived. Though having said that, I didn't dislike it as such, I"m glad they had the guts to kill one of them off, but I just think it could have been done a bit better. But I do hope he stays dead, don't want another supposedly dead guy to come back. About the villian, Ultron, well I think he was definitely one of the better marvel villains for me, but I feel like he wasn't as menacing and quite as big a threat as he seemed in trailers. I'm a bit sad that that scene from one of the trailers with Cap's broken shield and them all lying on the ground, beaten, was just a dream/vision Vision, well I knew nothing about him before so didn't have any expectations one way or another, he was unexpected, but I don't find him all that fascinating, although to be fair he was hardly there in the movie, maybe future movies will make him more interesting. I did love the scene though where he just casually picked up Thor's hammer haha I don't really know what I would rate it at this stage, probably 9 cause even if there are some flaws, they are all pretty minor and the overall entertainment factor was huge. It's only when I'm trying to sort of put my thoughts down that I really notice some of the problems.

@pepper and riverpanthera: how was the crowd reaction at your theaters ? Do you guys usually get fun crowds ? Here in montreal, the crowd has really started opening up. When I watched Kingsman, it was an absolute thrill because everyone's reaction were so in sync and enjoyable. Also with Chappie. The movies were also applauded at the end

Crowds in NZ are generally pretty mellow, however this being the first day it released, it was mostly big fans I think there so there was definitely good crowd response at the funny moments- plenty of laughter etc. Didn't really notice anything else though. there was no clapping at the end, but many did stay for the mid credits scene.
Actually I think in NZ I've personally only witnessed clapping at end of these movies- The Avengers, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight rises, Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Part 2, The Lord of th Rings Return of the King, the Hobbit- The Battle of the Five Armies, Fast & Furious 7, and special mention Doctor Who 50th anniversary. So trend seems to be generally only movies at the end of a series, barring TDK and Avengers but then those were both really a first of a kind movies.
ALthough I"m sure there will be more clapping at like midnight screenings, I don't often go to those, only been to HP7 part two midnight, and TDKR midnight but I also saw those at another times.

The crowd was pretty calm, but it's always like that in my country. A few claps at the end though, which indicates that they liked the movie.
