Sanju Has A Strong Third Week Friday 20 July 2018 11.30 IST Box Office India Trade Network Sanju had another strong week as it collected 29 crore nett apprx and took its three week total to 319 crore nett. It is now the fifth highest NETT grosser ever after Bahubali - The Conclusion, Dangal, Tiger Zinda Hai and PK. The GROSS numbers are still less than films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan. The drop in the third week is 67% and if this drop is repeated in the fourth week then the film will struggle to reach the numbers of PK and Tiger Zinda Hai and go higher than fifth in the all time list. The film is close to 99 crore nett in Mumbai and will hit 100 crore nett over the weekend in the circuit. The collections of Sanju till date are as follows Friday - 34,19,00,000 Saturday - 38,41,00,000 Sunday - 46,73,00,000 Monday - 25,25,00,000 apprx Tuesday - 21,75,00,000 apprx Wednesday - 18,25,00,000 apprx Thursday - 15,50,00,000 apprx Week One - 2,00,08,00,000 apprx Friday - 12,50,00,000 apprx Saturday - 21,25,00,000 apprx Sunday - 27,50,00,000 apprx Monday - 9,00,00,000 apprx Tuesday - 7,50,00,000 apprx Wednesday - 6,25,00,000 apprx Thursday - 5,50,00,000 apprx Week Two - 89,75,00,000 apprx Friday - 4,25,00,000 apprx Saturday - 7,25,00,000 apprx Sunday - 8,50,00,000 apprx Monday - 2,50,00,000 apprx Tuesday - 2,25,00,000 apprx Wednesday 2,20,00,000 apprx Thursday - 2,00,00,000 apprx Third Week - 28,95,00,000 apprx TOTAL - 3,18,78,00,000 apprx boxofficeindia.com/report-details.php?articleid=4120

By: FE Online | New Delhi | Updated: July 16, 2018 9:24 PM Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor starre Sanju, the biopic of Sanjay Dutt, has become the 6th highest grossing Hindi film by crossing the Rs 300 crore mark. Business Analyst and movie critic Taran Adarsh tweeted the figures today, stating that even on the third weekend Sanju did nearly Rs 21.5 crore business across India, and remained “rock-steady” despite new films coming up in the market. “#Sanju crosses ₹ 300 cr mark… Remained ROCK-STEADY in Weekend 3, despite new films eating into the market share… Is now the 6TH HIGHEST GROSSING *Hindi* film… [Week 3] Fri 4.42 cr, Sat 7.75 cr, Sun 9.29 cr. Total: ₹ 316.64 cr. India biz,” wrote Adarsh. The Rajkumar Hirani movie, which is now a member of the elite Rs 300 crore club, has earned over Rs 500 crore worldwide. Adarsh later added another tweet saying that Sanju has earned Rs 202.51 crore in the first week, followed by Rs 92.67 crore in the next week and Rs 21. 46 crore in the third week. In one of the previous tweets, Adarsh mentioned Sanju’s box office collection as a ‘dream run’. Apart from Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt, Paresh Rawal, Vicky Kaushal, Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, Anushka Sharma and Jim Sarbh played other pivotal roles in the film. It has also become the second highest grossing Hindi film of 2018, right after Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed ‘Padmaavat’ which has earned Rs 585.87 crore in the box office. The movie shows Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt’s life, his arrest for involvement in 1993 Mumbai bombing case, come back to the film industry, jail term and his subsequent release. The movie has also received ample criticism from many, saying that Rajkumar Hirani has tried to mask the marred past of the Bollywood actor. Even journalist Baljeet Parmar, who broke the 1993 arms dealing news, said ‘Hirani and his ilk are out there to make a quick buck’. www.financialexpress.com/entertainment/sanju-box-office-collection-all-time-blockbuster-sanjay-dutt-biopic-creates-yet-another-record-check-what-it-is/1246625/

Yeah, this is the current trend. If you don't agree with someone, he is mentally unstable or should leave India or is anti-national etc. But with RGV it is actually true The guy is simply a terrible human being imo There is only one person RGV is fit for making a biopic on, and that is himself. He deserves himself And mind you, the dude is so self obsessed, that he just might make a biopic on himself

Sanju Decent Fourth Weekend Despite Drop Monday 23 July 2018 11.30 IST Box Office India Trade Network Sanju had a drop in the fourth weekend of nearly 70% as new film hits its screen place but a fourth weekend figure of 6 crore nett in still pretty good. The film now stands at around 325 crore nett and may add another 10 crore nett or so. The finish of the film looks to be 335 crore nett unless it goes steady next week and drops 30-40% then i could go to the 337-339 crore nett mark and challenge the likes of PK and Tiger Zinda Hai. But with RGV it is actually true The guy is simply a terrible human being imo There is only one person RGV is fit for making a biopic on, and that is himself. He deserves himself And mind you, the dude is so self obsessed, that he just might make a biopic on himself I don't know RGV's mental state but if you read my post, I have clearly wrote that "for once I agree with RGV..." it means I have never agreed with him so far. I don't have an opinion on his mental state but he has been commenting rubbish for long. However, the point of discussion is his opinion on Sanju and not RGV's history of opinions or his mental state. I believe what he said in this case is "absolutely correct" and if anyone thinks Sanju was really a honest biopic then he needs to wake up for sure. Well, I agree that it was a white washed version of the story to some extent. But I don't mind hearing out the Dutt side of the story either since we have been fed the other side for 15+ years. And honestly, which BIOPIC has ever tried to paint the full picture. They all try to avoid the negatives. Dhoni's conveniently stops at the World Cup win (his downward path started after the world cup when India got hammered and whitewashed in overseas series and even lost to England, the CSK and Srinivasan episodes, etc.). Bhaag Milkha Bhaag's Milkha Singh breaking an Olympic record. And lets not go into the movie Azhar. Biopics will usually tend to do whitewash to make the audience connect with the character. Regarding complaints that they left out other things like his messed up love life etc. I do not mind that one bit. It would have held the movie back big time. It was a smart creative decision taken by Hirani Regarding RGV, he might have said one correct line that it was not the real truth. But the last person I trust to show us the truth on anything is RGV

All Time Worldwide Grossers - Sanju 6th Thursday 02 August 2018 11.00 IST Box Office India Trade Network Sanju will finish the sixth highest grossing film worldwide sandwiched between Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. The film has grossed around 570 crore so far in a nearly five weeks and ther maybe another 4-5 crore or so to come for a 575 crore worldwide finish. It makes it number one for the year as Padmaavat did 546 crore although it was no match for Padmaavat in Overseas. The one market where it did beat all films was Pakistan as it grossed $3 million apprx to become the highest grossing film in that circuit.Sultan was the top film before Sanju with $2.75 million but that was a Eid release which is beneficial in Pakistan. The 800 crore Worldwide for Bahubali - The Conclusion remains a huge target though it can be done as the Hindi version of Bahubali - The Conclusion was not huge Overseas. The top worldwide grossers of all time are as follows. (All collections for Hindi language only and like for like) 1. Bahubali - The Conclusion - 802 crore 2. Dangal - 702 crore 3. PK - 616 crore 4.
