Sure, and URI is not an action but a drama
We can rearrange 1000 films and genre if you want too
What about JHMS, not a romance but a action/adventure

It is difficult to convince people. To prove their point they do everything. Some people are giving example of one in blue moon hit yjhd. I never said there is specific formula for hit movie but what majority works specially in bollowood an all India that is action. Yjhd is only romcom (pure rom com without single action) that became blockbuster in entire decade other almost 85% blockbuster are from action or comedy but manly action. Even you can count Ce is rom com but it is not plain Rom com like yjhd or jhms etc it has some action scene in end and even trailer and poster has projected as a action comedy movie to attract mass audience. Dilwale gajini, bodyguard, Bajirao mastani and even in old movie like deewana, jeet phool Aur Kathe, kaho na pyar hai, gadar are love stories but these movie have enough dose of action that attracts mass (which is majority in India) audience even Rohit shetty's comedy movie have some action. Jhms, befijre, shandaar London dreams, lamhe, zero, janeman, film dhadakne do etc kind of love story don't work in India even one or 2 in works decade then it is very rarity and footfall also will have very low.

Movie is doing phenomenon business today almost running 95-100 percent capacity crowd. Movie can easily go pass 12 Cr on third Sunday despite strong competiton from manikarnika. In fact both movies are doing fabulous business today. This is third movie within a month along with simba are rocked the box office. Interestingly all three are Desi action movie. Most important is these movies are doing all over India not just in few cities like so called content base movie. Even female actors knows importance of actions. When movie does huge on bo then nobody bother to care about first half second half slow pace etc

Uri - The Surgical Strike To Cross 200 crore Saturday 02 February 2019 01.30 IST Box Office India Trade Network Uri - The Surgical Strike is heading for business over 200 crore nett as it hardly sees a fall on the fourth Friday with business in the 3 crore nett range as per early estimates. The film will be the first small - medium film to cross the 200 crore nett mark but more than it has also crossed the footfalls of Tanu Weds Manu Returns on the fourth Friday to become the biggest small - medium blockbuster of recent times. The 200 crore nett figure will probably be achieved by many small - medium films in the future but Uri - The Surgical Strike has hit 1.5 crore in terms of footfalls with more to come and this will be huge task in the future. The film is probably among the biggest small - medium films in the history of Hindi cinema with the 1975 mythological historic blockbuster Jai Santoshi Maa (1975) leading the way. The weak competition from the new releases means that Uri - The Surgical Strike will be the top film at the box office this weekend. boxofficeindia.com/report-details.php?articleid=4681

So if we take outright Hindi films then its a record easily beating any other film.. Dangal (2016) was 1.90 crore while films like Padmaavat (2018) and PK (2014) were 1.60-1.70 crore nett. Bahubali - The conclusion was a huge 4 crore nett. The film is now sure to cross the 200 crore nett mark and it will also be a non Bahubali fourth weekend record by a disatnce. The collections of Uri - The Surgical Strike are as follows. Week One - 71,23,00,000 Week Two - 62,76,00,000 Week Three - 36,00,00,000 apprx Friday - 3,25,00,000 apprx TOTAL - 1,73,24,00,000 apprx The film could beat the business of Golmaal Again and you cannot rule out the film going past Chennai Express and Kick as well in terms of NETT collections. Net collection of 6.35 crores on day 23, which is simply astonishing. If the current trend continues then the movie will likely hit 225 crores lifetime. Amazing for a movie made on a budget of 40 crores (including marketing cost), opened at mere 8 crores

The final fourth weekend collections were an ALL TIME RECORD just edging past Bahubali - The Conclusion. The film has collected 2.75 crore nett on its fourth Monday and is now has a total of 192 crore. The film is very steady and it could be that it reaches the 200 crore mark at the end of the week. There is plenty of gas left it in the tank it could be a finish that is around the 225 crore nett mark. The film has put up phenomenal numbers in South. If we take the all South Indian circuits then it will do business double of Simmba there or at least very close to double. Simmba did 19 crore nett in Nizam / Andhra, Mysore and Tamil Nadu / Kerala and this will do 35 crore nett on a worse scenario. The film is also chasing the fourth week record of Bahubali - The Conclusion which was a little over 29 crore nett. More than 200 crore nett this would be the achievement.. Uri - The Surgical Strike Heading For 300 Cr Worldwide Wednesday 06 February 2018 12.30 IST Box Office India Trade Network Uri - The Surgical Strike is heading for business of 300 crore worldwide which will be a first for a small - medium budget film. Badhaai Ho last year reached 215 crore and Raazi was 192 crore with Stree and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety on 173 and 149 crore respectively. The film stands at 270 crore at the moment after 26 days which is better than some of last years big films like 2.0 (Hindi), Baaghi 2 and Thugs of Hindostan as can be seen below. The film could go and do as much as Race 3 did worldwide last year. The film has done huge business Overseas and although the $5.5 million till date does not look a big number but in reality it is as its a patriotic film and these types based around Pakistan / Kashmir tend to be a no no for the huge Muslim audience Overseas. Simmba will finish at a little under 400 crore and will be the 11th highest grosser ever worldwide in Hindi. Below are the top worldwide grossers of 2018. (Hindi only) 1. Sanju - 578 crore 2. Padmaavat - 546 crore 3. Simmba - 393 crore (35 Days) 4. Race 3 - 306 crore 5. Uri - The Surgical Strike - 273 crore (26 Days) 6. 2.0 (Hindi) - 270 crore 7. Baaghi 2 - 249 crore 8. Uri Set to Beat Gadar Records In Week Six Saturday 16 February 2019 11.45 IST Box Office India Trade Network Uri - The Surgical Strike is heading for for records in the sixth week as it collected around 1.15 crore nett on the sixth Friday. The only other film in history to have a sixth Friday of more than 1 crore nett is Gadar Ek Prem Katha way back ins 2001. Uri - The Surgical Strike is basically an urban Gadar. What that film did in 2001, Uri - The Surgical Strike has done in urban centres in 2019. The sixth week will easily be a record as now there is big weekend growth in business which was not the case back in 2001 when Gadar released. The drop from Valentines Day is just 5-10% and Valentines Day is a sort of part holiday. Uri - The Surgical Strike has a total of 220 crore nett plus now and it looks like to be doing a lifetime of 235 crore nett plus but this film keeps on surprising and it could even be more. The collections of Uri - The Surgical Strike are as follows. Week One - 71,23,00,000 Week Two - 62,76,00,000 Week Three - 37,06,00,000 Week Four - 29,30,00,000 Fifth Week - 18,73,00,000 Friday - 1,15,00,000 apprx TOTAL - 2,20,23,00,000 apprx boxofficeindia.com/report-details.php?articleid=4729

Uri - The Surgical Strike Shows Big Jump On Tuesday Wednesday 27 February 2019 06.00 IST Box Office India Trade Network Uri - The Surgical Strike got a boost in collections of around 30-35% on Tuesday even though there was no holiday or even partial holiday. It is likely that the present situation in the country with the events in the film happening for real probably revived more interst in the film. It is very rare for a film to go up this much on Tuesday with a holiday. Especially as the other films around it saw a drop in collections. The film has now collected almost 236 crore nett and now has also become the first film in history to breach the 5 crore nett mark in week seven. The recent events and present issues with Pakistan could actually see the film doing even better and holding up for longer. The timing of release of this film has added a little on the collections.. The collections of Uri - The Surgical Strike are as follows. Week One - 71,23,00,000 Week Two - 62,76,00,000 Week Three - 37,06,00,000 Week Four - 29,30,00,000 Fifth Week - 18,73,00,000 Sixth Week - 11,58,00,000 Friday - 70,00,000 apprx Saturday - 1,50,00,000 apprx Sunday - 1,75,00,000 apprx Monday - 50,00,000 apprx Tuesday - 65,00,000 apprx Seventh Week - 5,10,00,000 apprx (5 Days) TOTAL - 2,35,80,00,000 apprx boxofficeindia.com/report-details.php?articleid=4769
