India vs Pakistan today, should be interesting for sure.
Sucks the matches are all on so late timing wise for me. But I'll still be following it.

I'm predicting Australia to win the whole tournament. Their batting line up is packed with big hitters and the bowlers are solid too.

Never write off WI in this format of the game. If all pitches turn like this, then Australia will find it tough. Put your money on one of the subcontinental teams - and going by their record, SL would be the best bet.

India always beat Pakistan in world cup matches and that has continued. I guess Pakistan seem to have some mental problem in WC matches against India, it's a bit like South Africa in that sense. And the more times they lose, the worse it gets.

Really bad luck for Englad losing like that, though the fan in me is of course happy for Kiwis winning. But I really think 5 overs is way too short to make any kind of fair decision.

West Indies beat Aussie, that's awesome. I think Aus is probably out now I'm guessing. I hope WI and India are the two teams that qualify from that group.
And Netherlands came kinda close to beat SA the other day, that was a shocker even if they didn't end up making it.
And NZ lost to SA so closely though it was disappointing, we should have won that match. Now we have to beat netherlands and Sri lanka. This group is quite interesting, very topsy turvy so far, no one looks dominant.

riverpanthera - Are you following the WorldCup ? NZ doing really well right now against SL in the virtual quarterfinal Not live as it's too late at night, but yeah i'm checking scores and highlights etc. God what dreadful collapse by NZ yesterday. And we had such a great opportunity after having Sri Lanka for 119 only. But geez, it's like all the batsmen (barring Williamson) had a brain explosion. It's not like the bowling was that great by SL, it was just NZ playing stupid shot after stupid shot. I'm really disappointed with the team.

Yeah. The pitch was assisting spin a little and all they needed to do was just stick around like Kane did. But I don't know what happened
SL look favorites now if they can keep bowling like that

What a bad way to decide a semi-final. Sri Lanka most likely would have won anyway but West Indies had a chance.

Sighs of relief from both RSA and India. The WI are a very dangerous team. SL are so consistent in most world tournaments that I expected them to make the semifinals anyway. But this was such a farce really. The WI were still in with a very good chance - they had Samuels and Sammy at the crease, with Ramdin, Narine and the dangerous Russell to come. It was still winnable from that point. I am so disappointed as a WI fan.

Yeah. I think WIndies had a fairly good chance of making it if one goes by the massacre they inflicted on Pakistan the other night.
Lets see how tomorrow is. Might be another rain interrupted game. Wish ICC folks had the brains to keep reserve days for semifinals too

^ They finally did the right thing and reduced the frequency of the T20 World Cups. And given that they are fewer and farther in between now, they really should think about reserve days. Why not start an early game tomorrow, like they have done so far in the tournament. And I also wish they would come up with a best of 3 finals. The Carlton and United series and later on the VB series in Australia were brilliant that way. More than one chance for a team, and that would decide a more "rightful" winner if you will.

i'm really sad for WI too. They were one team I really wanted to got to final if not NZ.
Now I"m supporting South AFrica.Though I like India too, but i think it's high time SA won a world cup.

Disappointing and frustrating end to India's innings. Yuvraj, who should never have been playing in this tournament, wasted 21 deliveries. Dhoni should have came out to bat ahead of him. Though I still think India can win it.
Spare a thought for RCB who bought Yuvraj for 14 crores in the IPL, he's the most expensive player.

Yuvraj kinda messed it up royally for us. But its okay. SriLanka finally win a World Cup after being in so many finals
