From ESPNcricinfo The perfect end - Anil Joseph[. . .] One thing I'd have changed Shah Rukh Khan made an appearance in the 18th over of the Rajasthan innings, and as has been the norm in all IPL matches, a large section of the crowd decided that catching a glimpse of SRK eclipsed any entertainment that cricket could possibly provide. For a diehard cricket fanatic like myself, ignoring a battle of Rahane-Steve Smith vs Narine-Morne Morkel in the final two overs of a T20 game for a long shot sighting of SRK was nothing short of sacrilege. [. . .]

It was not a battle to begin with, because it wasn't like Morkel was sending down thunderbolts on a spicy pitch which Rahane/Smith were smashing around. And Narine wasn't that menacing either. People will crib and criticize anything just for the sake of it

I can understand his opinion as someone who wants to watch the match and not extraneous things. I feel the same way about specials and award shows: I never, ever want to see the audience reaction to anything. Ever. I want to see what's happening on the stage and Indian TV is even worse about it than American TV, which I wouldn't have even imagined, and even worse with the obvious repeated replays of "reaction shots" that aren't. I would have been one of the ones trying to get a glimpse of SRK, of course.
