The one thing about this movie is - no matter whether I loved it as much as some of Nolan's other work or not, this one is staying in my head as much as Memento did. And that is SOME accomplishment. While here, might as well throw in my Nolan ratings: 1. Memento 2. The Prestige 3. The Dark Knight 4. Interstellar 5. Following 6. Insomnia 7. Batman Begins 8. Inception 9. TDKR I have all except the following: Following Insomnia How are they should I watch?

ujjwala - Memento was the first Nolan movie I saw, then I went searching for his other work and happened upon Following, which was his first full fledged movie. When I watched it, I had not seen much of his works, so it was very fresh. I'm not sure it would be as much now. Insomnia, on the other hand, is just haunting. Granted, it is not half as good as another Insomnia-based movie Fight Club (which is my favorite movie of all time), but it is still quite brooding and layered. The lead trio are fantastic and the Alaskan setting is just perfect for a film about someone suffering from Insomnia. In a lot of ways, it plays out like a straight-up thriller yes, but it is also an immensely involved character study. Watching them today, there is a chance you may not dig them as much. They aren't absolute classics like The Prestige or Memento, but they left an impression on me.

Even though Insomnia is at the bottom of my list, I love that movie The pace is slow (intentionally) but Nolan's direction is excellent. He perfectly captures the feeling of insomnia that the main character is going through - you almost feel it as an audience. Cant reveal more without spoiling the movie. Definitely worth watching Havent watched "Following" yet

ujjwala Figured I would throw this out here just in case - Netflix added Insomnia to its Instant Watch earlier this week.

Interstellar is one of my Favorite movies from this decade.
My Top Nolan movies - 1. Interstellar - Was in awe of some of the shots.. It has everything I love in a movie - Story, Acting, Science, Big event movie feeling and it hangs on to you after you have watched it.
2. Inception - Liked it a lot lot more on first viewing.. Has come down a notch on repeat viewing. 3. Batman Begins - Best of the Batman Triology IMHO. 4. Memento - Took me a while to realize what was going on.. Fantastic movie making. 5. The Dark Knight - Loved this movie but this it is over-rated on the internet. . . . 6. The Dark Knight Rises 7. The Prestige 9. Following 9. Insomnia - Had expected more from this .. Was a disappointment from that perspective.
