But on the other hand: Rumour quashed: Shahrukh Khan’s 'DDLJ' not being taken off from Maratha Mandir 'No plans to remove DDLJ from Maratha Mandir'By Indo-Asian News Service Tue, Oct 07, 2014 14:08:27 GMT There have been reports that Shahrukh Khan and Kajol’s most cult movie 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' is finally going to be taken off the popular theatre Maratha Mandir. Quashing reports that "Dilwale Duhania Le Jayenge" (DDLJ) will be removed from Maratha Mandir in December after running for 19 years, its managing director Manoj Desai said that the news is "false".
The boy meets girl story narrated by Aditya Chopra into the magical DDLJ worked wonders at the box office. The movie has been playing in Maratha Mandir since its release on Oct 20, 1995. In 2007, it broke the record set by "Sholay" by a full seven years. 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' voted most favourite Indian film ever And the movie buffs with a taste for romance are still coming in, notwithstanding its many re-runs on the TV channels, online viewing facilities as well as many DVDs floating around. "We are not planning to remove DDLJ show. It was a false report. In fact, this December DDLJ will be in its 1,000 week," Desai told IANS. A single screen theatre, Maratha Mandir runs other movies as well, but the matinee show has been booked for DDLJ. "We have DDLJ show daily at 11.30 a.m. and on weekdays there is 40 to 50 percent occupancy and on the weekend it runs houseful. "Myself and Aditya Chopra will continue to show the film in Maratha Mandir as long as we want to," he added. www.apunkachoice.com/content/article/sid100021795-rumour_quashed_shahrukh_khans_ddlj_not_being_taken_off_from_maratha_mandir/

Shah Rukh Khan: Top 7 reasons why fans of other Khans envy King Khan!
One question strictly for all Shah Rukh Khan fans – Have you noticed every time you utter his name, you end up finding ten of your friends spouting out some rubbish about him? Or, have you pondered whey there is no Salman Khan taking on Aamir Khan stories doing the rounds? Over a period of time, one has noticed a tiff going around superstar’s fan clubs on the social media. And one name that will be constantly dragged into such wars among ruling Khans has to be that of Shah Rukh Khan. This scenario tells us about the undisputed popularity that Shah Rukh Khan enjoys for people, like comparing his achievements with every other actor. We take a look at seven reasons that make other Khans fans seethe with jealousy about the Badshah of Bollywood. 1—Shah Rukh Khan – a loving husband and a doting fatherOn the auspicious occasion of Bakrid, Shah Rukh Khan shared a picture of his adorable son, AbRam on Twitter making everyone go gaga over King Khan’s third child. Not the first time has Shah Rukh shared tweets related to his kids. One knows about the sincere love and care he has towards his family. Over the years, Shah Rukh Khan has come across as loving husband, brother and father. Obviously, we know his frenemy Salman Khan for not exactly being known as the family man but more for the tag of eligible bachelor. 2— Shah Rukh Khan is the ultimate Badshah of RomanceBe it carefree yet lovable Raj of Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge or the passionate Veer Pratap Singh of Veer-Zaara, Shah Rukh Khan has swept the girls off their feet for nearly for two decades now. Not just on celluloid but off it as well, Shah Rukh continues to floor women with his dimpled smile, graciousness, wit and charm. There are actors like Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor that have come close to being the next big romantic hero, but in reality they hardly come close to matching the credentials of King Khan. 3—Shah Rukh Khan is well-educated compared to his counterpart Khans!Shah Rukh Khan remains to be one of the few cine stars who can boast of completing their graduation before entering films. Shah Rukh Khan did his schooling from the prestigious St. Columba’s School, where he received the school’s highest award, the Sword of Honour. He went on to do Bachelors in Economics from Hansraj College and also intended to earn Masters Degree in Mass Communications at Jamia Millia Islamia, but left in order to pursue his career in acting. Meanwhile, with due respect to the other Khans like Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, they have not finished schooling. This makes SRKians proud of their superstar’s belief in prioritizing formal education, something he has repeatedly emphasized about his kids following suit as well. 4—Shah Rukh Khan being the second richest actor in the world! This should burn the Shah Rukh Khan haters as King Khan not only topped the national list but a combined list of Hollywood and Bollywood actors. According to Wealth-X’s Hollywood and Bollywood Rich List, Shah Rukh Khan became the second actor in the world with net value of 600 million US dollars. Also the coveted Forbes magazine rated Shah Rukh Khan as the ‘Top Indian leader in the Arab World’. 5—Shah Rukh Khan, a star with massive following around the globeThe competition amongst the Khans neck to neck might be neck to neck in India but Shah Rukh beats his rivals by miles when it comes to popularity on the international platform. He has taken Hindi Cinema to masses beyond boundaries and to lands where Hindi may not be spoken but Shah Rukh’s movie songs are hummed across the world. A true global icon, Shah Rukh Khan has put Indian cinema on the world map by being more popular than the Hollywood biggies Tom Cruise in several foreign lands. He is an undisputed ruler in markets like USA, UK, Canada, UAE and Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Germany and South Africa. 6—Shah Rukh Khan, owner of IPL team, Kolkata Knight RidersWhile his colleagues can cheer for their respective sides in the lucrative, cash-rich event Indian Premier League (IPL), Shah Rukh Khan owns Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), one of the most successful IPL sides. He is not just an actor but has also proved to be an intelligent entrepreneur. One cannot simply forget the moment when SRK went on to do the cartwheel after KKR lifted the IPL 2012 title. His joy had no bounds when they again won the IPL trophy in 2014 too. 7—Shah Rukh Khan, the king of awardsShah Rukh Khan has been bestowed with numerous awards, not just for his contribution in acting, but also lending a helping hand for the less fortunate. He has been awarded the Filmfare Best Actor Award eight times, tying him with legendary actor Dilip Kumar. Apart from awards by film fraternity, he has also been conferred with the top French civilian award – Knight of the Legion of Honor. Recently, he has also been given the Global Diversity Award for his outstanding achievement in field of acting and other philanthropic endeavours. www.india.com/top-n/shah-rukh-khan-top-7-reasons-why-fans-of-other-khans-envy-king-khan-167265/

"It'll be nice if Aamir and I work together": Shah Rukh Khan
By Faridoon Shahryar, November 03, 2014 - 10:20 hrs IST
The only time that Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan acted in a movie 'together' was for Ashutosh Gowariker's directorial debut Pehla Nasha, where both appeared in a cameo in a song. While speaking to the media on his 49th birthday, Shah Rukh revealed that Ashutosh had a script for Aamir and Shah Rukh but somehow it didn't materialize. Vidhu Vinod Chopra, at the poster launch of PK, had said that he hopes someday Shah Rukh and Aamir will work together in a film.
On being asked if he would be open to working with Aamir, Shah Rukh said, "If there's a director who has a two hero film, it will be good. For us to make it on our own, wo nahin hoga, I think. If there's a director who has a two hero film, achcha rahega agar hum ek film Karen saath mein. We know each other for so long. We've worked together for such a long time, dosti hai, we've done world tours together. We also discuss a lot of things together."
The prospect of a film with Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan is a bonanza in itself. It goes without saying that the business will be unprecedented and unimaginable. But if it ever happens, everything will surely be scrutinized very minutely. "It will be nice if there's a producer-director, who can write, make a film for us and then jhelo the stress ki kaun behta rhai. Media will say, Aamir ne role kata diya, Shah Rukh ne usko edit kar diya. But I think it will be really nice if we get an opportunity to work together," Shah Rukh said.
Shah Rukh Khan also clarified that he hasn't been offered to play the negative lead in the Dhoom series yet. He likes the idea of bikes and the chase very much but he hasn't been made an offer yet.

Farah Khan plans on getting Shah Rukh Khan for new celebrity show
Deccan Chronicle | Natasha Coutinho | January 03, 2015, 17.01 pm IST Choreographer turned director Farah Khan tells us that while she is on a break from films at the moment, she has her palette full with TV projects. While she will be seen hosting Bigg Boss, there is already another show in the pipeline. “I will be doing a celebrity show in February and yes I’m planning to get Shah Rukh on it. The channel will announce further details soon. I get good money on TV. I had got a call for Dance India Dance too but my movie was releasing and I could not do it.” Shah Rukh and Farah proved a hit team last year with Happy New Year and she says it’s been a wonderful association. Farah says, “2014 has been one of the best years not just for me but the entire cast and crew. We spent time together shooting, then we went on SLAM tour. So many memories packed into one year.” Speaking about film projects Farah says, “I don’t have a script as yet. If someone gives me a script, I may make a film this year. Making a film is difficult; I’d like to take it easy at the moment. Also I’ve got lovely children to look after, now that they are growing up the involvement is much more.” So any plans to work with the other Khans, Salman and Aamir? “No such plans I’m happy working with one Khan (SRK). I’ve done songs for them of course. I choreographed for Salman so often, including Munni Badnaam but no plans to make movies with him. The day I make a film with both Salman and Shah Rukh, I will have no money left for myself. That will be my small budget movie.” Being the only woman director in the 100 crore club, Farah is proud of her feat. “The men don’t like you in that club but then they keep saying women can’t make big movies, our movies don’t earn money. Films have nothing to do with gender. People will run commercial hits down, but that’s because they haven’t had any. Their diet of sour grapes is bad. A big commercial hit goes a long way, it gives a lot of economy not just to those who made it but to others in the industry as well.” Farah will be taking Salman Khan’s place as host of Bigg Boss new series- Halla Bol. Those are big shoes to fill in but the director says she isn’t even trying to compete. She says, “The team of Bigg Boss had been calling me up to recommend people for the show, Dolly Bindra and Sambhavna Seth were sent by me. I think because I’m frank and know the in and out of the show I was selected to replace Salman. I am very emotional but I don’t think I will show that. I’m not a hero; I’m not even the same gender as Salman so I’m not competing with him, because I can’t. I will just be myself on the show. Even if Narendra Modi was replacing Salman there would be comparisons, so I’m prepared for that.” Salman has often been accused of being a biased host. Farah defends him saying, “What works for Salman is that he is very human about it. He doesn’t do it, in a cold and calculated manner. He says whatever he feels in his heart. So if he is looking biased it’s because it’s a human to have a favourite, to dislike somebody. At times I used to call him up and ask, why did you say this to a particular person and why didn’t you say something to the other one. If you are not objective about it and make it more personal it works for Bigg Boss. Whether I will be biased or not depends on how contestants behave. I used to have Bigg Boss parties in my house, where everyone would come, watch together and give their opinion. That is how I plan to host, like being an audience myself” Speaking about reactions from her industry friends, to her new role she says, “I don’t know about others but Salman’s family has given me fabulous reactions-right from Sohail to Arbaaz and Alvira. Other friends seem excited-at least on my face.” She rules out participating as a contestant in the future. “I’ve been in the house as a guest and I wanted to run out in an hour. There are too many fights and negativity. Food is less, sharing a bathroom is not very comfortable. People who go in need publicity and exposure and I don’t need that anymore.” www.deccanchronicle.com/150103/e … brity-show

Poland to India, just to see Shah Rukh Khan's Mannat
On Sunday evening, if you had looked closely at the crowd huddled outside Shah Rukh Khan’s Bandra Bandstand bungalow Mannat, chances are that you would have noticed this foreign couple among them. Ireneusz Wroblewski, a 42-year-old from Poland and his wife Alexandra have come all the way to India just to catch a glimpse of Shah Rukh Khan’s home. “One of the main reasons why we are in Mumbai is because of Shah Rukh Khan. My wife loves his movies, so do I. We’d watched this area and the house on YouTube and were prepared to be among the people who throng this gate,” said Ireneusz. “We wanted to do the same, click photographs and also see around the area where the star lives, the road where he walks,” he added. Alexandra, his wife, turned more heads around the Bandstand Promenade area as she flaunted an ‘I love SRK’ T-shirt and a chain with the star’s name inscribed in Hindi. “I bought this t-shirt from Poland for 10 dollars,” she said. Yes, you read that right. Unfortunately, she did not know about Linking Road or Colaba before she landed here. Talking about why they hero-worship SRK, she said, “Shah Rukh’s movies are very popular in Poland. People are actually this crazy. Yes, not many come to India just to see his house. But having access to Bollywood films, it is easier to fall for his charisma.” Apparently, Shah Rukh’s role in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi left an indelible mark on Polish minds. Even Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham had a massive opening there. But the couple’s favourite, they said, is, “My Name Is Khan and Kal Ho Na Ho.” Why? “It speaks about the people, the love for mankind, peace and brotherhood. People in Poland love that,” said Ireneusz. When asked why they love Shah Rukh among so many superstars around in the industry, they said: “He seems to be a nice man. He is of good character and loves his family, just like I do. Many celebrities go astray in the world of glamour but he is not like that,” added Ireneusz. Alexandra asserted that she is also aware of the fact that the star owns a cricket team. “I also know Kolkata Knight Riders but sadly, cricket isn’t much popular in our country. Hence, we do not get to watch his team in action,” she said. Even though they are such passionate followers of SRK, they don’t mind playing critics too, when they deem necessary. They were honest to confess that they did not like Om Shanti Om. However, before capturing the mansion in their camera, they said their trip would have been complete had they met Shah Rukh. “If I met him, I would have told him how much my wife loves him,” said Ireneusz. “It would have been great to at least shake hands with him,” said Alexandra. www.deccanchronicle.com/150203/entertainment-bollywood/article/poland-india-%E2%80%94-just-see-shah-rukh-khans-mannat

Members of the NGO Watchdog Foundation had been pursuing the matter against a ramp built on Cement Road in Bandra by film actor Shahrukh Khan near his bungalow which they claimed was causing an obstruction to devotees reaching up to the Mount Mary basilica especially during the days of the fair every year. MUMBAI: The controversial ramp built outside film actor Shah Rukh Khan's home is set to be demolished as senior officials in the BMC confirmed that orders to raze the same were given on Thursday afternoon and that action would be taken after seven days. Members of the NGO Watchdog Foundation had been pressing for the demolition of a ramp built on Cement Road in Bandra. The ramp constructed near film actor Shahrukh Khan's bungalow they claimed was causing an obstruction to devotees reaching up to the Mount Mary basilica. "Especially during the days of the Mount Mary fair in September every year large number of devotees visiting the basilica use the road where the ramp has been built upon. It is built on a public street and therefore we were asking the same to be removed. It was disappointing to see the actor's vanity van on the same road thus obstructing a substantial amount of the stretch," said advocate Godfrey Pimenta, trustee of Watchdog Foundation. BJP MP Poonam Mahajan seeks demolition of ramp near Shah Rukh's bungalow The NGO had been pursuing the matter since the last 18 months and had sent numerous letters, emails to all the civic authorities including the Chief Minister's office. "It's a big victory for us after the action being delayed for over a year now that the authorities are looking at demolishing the ramp," said Nicholas Almeida from Watchdog Foundation. Recently of January 29 -Poonam Mahajan, MP from Mumbai North Central had also written a letter to the city's civic body asking for the demolition of the ramp. Terming the ramp as illegal she said that local residents had informed her about it causing permanent obstruction to the people accessing the public road. Speaking to TOI Mahajan said that she was yet to receive the news regarding the demolition of the ramp. A senior official from the BMC said, "The orders for demolishing the ramp were given on Thursday afternoon and action is expected to be taken after seven days." m.timesofindia.com/entertainment/hindi/bollywood/news/Ramp-outside-Shah-Rukh-Khans-home-to-be-demolished-BMC/articleshow/46135638.cms

Stop trolling Aamir, SRK: Salman threatens to quit TwitterIndiaToday.in June 10, 2015 | UPDATED 12:56 IST Gone are those days when Bollywood's three biggest Khans were at loggerheads. And, sending the message across once again loud and clear- Salman Khan has warned his fans against trolling Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan on the micro-blogging site. The actor also threatened to quit Twitter if his fans didn't stop trolling the other two Khans, clearly mentioning that he doesn't like this 'negativity' and is definitely not interested in this 'ugly war'. Salman Khan means business, follows Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan on Twitter!
While he threatened to quit Twitter if abuses hurled at his ‘friends’ continue, he swiftly started following them… We are pretty sure today’s morning dawned with great hopes and cheers for those fans who would love to see the trinity of Khans in a film together and forever at peace with each other. But those fans who take pride in slamming one for the other, might be left enraged by Salman Khan’s epiphany moment. The actor declared on twitter that Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are his friends and he won’t tolerate any nonsensical talks about them. He goes ‘Bhaad mein jaa’ which roughly translates to Go To Hell! Well, if that wasn’t enough, to prove how serious he is, he started following the other Khans. Yes, you read right! Many might start questioning his intentions, if he hadn’t turned into Shah Rukh and Aamir’s follower on Twitter, or so he might have thought. So immediately, the actor clicked on the follow button and dedicated so many tweets to them. Do you have such a friend who can profess his love for you to the world in so many tweets? Of course not! No wonder apun ka bhaijaan is so different! www.bollywoodlife.com/news-gossip/salman-khan-means-business-follows-shah-rukh-khan-and-aamir-khan-on-twitter/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=bollywood

Shah Rukh Khan, Sohail Khan and Sanjay Dutt to own cricket teams of retired playersBy now, we all know that the Bollywood stars are doing their bit to promote sports like kabaddi, football, hockey and cricket by becoming team owners and publicizing the sport. So, when Shah Rukh Khan, Sohail Khan and Sanjay Dutt were offered to come on board as the owners of three cricket teams in a brand new league that featured the retired cricket players, the trio wasted no time in giving their nod. The said league will have six former cricketing stars, who will be captaining the six participating teams (that have been named after the zodiac signs). The captains include Wasim Akram, Brian Lara, Adam Gilchrist, Mahela Jayawardene, Kumar Sangakkara and India’s very own Virender Sehwag. This league will be having 260 retired players in all. Speaking about the same, Sam Khan (the league’s Chief Executive Director) said that the said series will be following 18 matches, which will be beginning on January 26 next year and these matches will be played in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. He added that they had been working on the project since the last three years and had met Sanjay Dutt only last month. Dutt, who was very excited to come on board, will be represented by his wife Manyata Dutt, who will be the co-owner of his team. indianexpress.com/article/entertainment/bollywood/shah-rukh-khan-sohail-khan-and-sanjay-dutt-to-own-cricket-teams-of-retired-players/?SocialMedia

I read that the Chennai Government or someone in that office leaked it. I feel bad, cause it makes it look like he was responding to the criticism and we know that is not the case. But with great love which he has from so many people, the envious, the unhappy are bound to say terrible things. We just have to think about the millions like us who love and respect him.

Who cares about those embarrassing "national" online creatures. Let them bark as they wish too. SRK's doing was never their problem but he himself being at the top for long and that's on his own & being proud about his identity, his wealth is what bother them.. SRK did great deeds all his life and he is not obligated to clarify anything to anyone. The way he leads his charity work all his life in privet and dignity has louder sound than all those silly allegation's noises. Forget about everything, actually SRK beyond his tax payment yearly has every right to not spend one penny from his OWN income on anyone & still no one have a right to even raise a dot against him.

Green, but I mind...it makes me a little sad that she gives in to wom instead of voicing an opinion AFTER having watched the movie...it seems that she is not interested to watch ShahRukh's work. I would like a movie with ShahRukh-Juhi, too. They have always had a very good comic timing

I think Juhi is one of the few if not the only person who genuinely care about ShahRukh in B-Town. Their relationship is not based on Friday to Friday like many others in Bollywood, so i dont mind her saying this without concealing.

I know that she did care for ShahRukh...yet, qureshi, don't you think that being aware how media misuse such statements, it is not really very caring to voice this opinion towards a journalist?
