I've really had to giggle. It seems as if the universe has conspired to bring me to this point in my life. I have long held fascinations with certain types of crafts that all seem to have a place in my world as an indophile. Jewelry making, tassel making, embroidery, lace making, wood working, mosaics... they all fit. That said... I have never actually done any of these handicrafts. I am the great procrastinator.... but someday I will... It is my great wish to one day be able to find the time to teach myself Shisha or Indian mirror embroidery. Has anyone tried it? I love to reuse and recycle, so I want to try it with old CDs.... might be tacky... or if I do it right... it could be beautiful. I'd also love to learn Zardozi, or Indian bead work... particularly for wedding gowns.... I have watched (though not understood) this video over and over... their work is so lovely... as are they. Zardozi training I also want to do Indian inspired wire and bead jewelry.... Bollywood earrings and Wirework pipa knot earringsDoes anyone else have things they have done.. or want to do?
