Finally caught up with it. What an interesting man. I'm so intrigued by him. Obviously I dont agree with his take on relationships. He sounds so detached and distant. Anyway!
Can we please stop crapping on Chennai Express? lol! Shah Rukh-Deepika were adorable and Chennai did what it was supposed to do, bring in huge BO returns.
Billu, Ra.One, Happy New Year, Dilwale. I think it is safe to say RCE productions have been some of his worst movies recently, Ra.One especially. They also made those weird movies like Antony Gonsalves, Always Kabhi Kabhi etc. Thankfully, they are hiring good directors like Imtiaz Ali and Anand L Rai now so that sounds good.
I agree with Gangsta. We all share the same frustration but he just gave one hell of a movie in FAN. I wish it performed at the BO though because its probably the only way to silence the critics.

He does indeed sound very detached from everyone except his own kids and what it's better for them. And his usage of words is kinda brutally honest in many aspects. And apparently people will never forgive him for that. No matter how brilliant the film or him in it..They will always remind him of it is 'failure' in the domestic market. This is his curse as a unique actor/superstar. If he did a mediocre film and was a success they will ask him why can't he do a brilliant novel cinema and when he does and it wasn't a profitable venture they will bring back the numbers game, and not only that they will start picking why the film didn't work out and pointing flaws which are not necessary in the film itself. I for one confused what his majority of audiences want from him!! I wish this interview was released with an audio!!

^ No wonder why people say " Nothing matters like success." Unless a movie is big hit, forget about people who are crazy over commercial big hits, even the ones who always ask different movies are not happy. I think it's a lie when people say, I dont want big hits, but want only good movies.

He does indeed sound very detached from everyone except his own kids and what it's better for them. And his usage of words is kinda brutally honest in many aspects. Right, he sounds like that...he did almost verbally say the same things in other interviews throughout the years...with equal honesty. I bet - for a reason (or many reasons)...relationships come with attachments (and responsabilities) and with feelings that can easily be hurt...I think, in ShahRukh's life there was a moment when he decided to protect himself...And apparently people will never forgive him for that. That is - among others - a point why I don't like the journo...he did nothing new but was just another member of the chorus.I wish this interview was released with an audio!!I bet it would have been cut...not a live one...
Sigh of relief...I am not the only one Edit: ShahRukh catered to that interviewer like he cateres to almost every interviewer (or to almost everyone who wants something from him, for that matter)...fortunately, there are interviews where ShahRukh notices the honest interest in him as a person...they are highlights (not this one)

I wouldnt make too much of the fact that he'd not wearing his wedding ring... I suspect his fingers have swollen and it doesnt fit. I wouldnt be a bit surprised to hear his has arthritis in the finger joints. IMHO
