Aamir, Salman, Shah Rukh, Katrina, Deepika and Kareena: Meet the Badshahs and Begums of Bollywood Box Office

Jai Ho has just entered the 100 crore club. So Bombay Times thinks it is timely to present an updated list of the men and women who have set the turnstiles spinning.
In Bollywood, it is often the box office that separates the boys from the men. And if you check out the list of the 22 100-crore plus films, you will see the muscle-power of the men over the boys.
The girls, of course, have less to contribute. While Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Priyanka Chopra have displayed their acting chops in the 100cr films, some of the other girls who are present in the prestigious club have just been arm-candy to the men with muscle.
As for the directors, often referred to as the captain of the ship, well, only a couple of them can be lauded for turning meaningful cinema into box office winners. The rest of the makers are present on this list because the call of Hindi cinema box office is very different. It isn't evolved cinema that runs; it is often trite that has might at the ticket windows.
