Looks worse than the first one That cloned robot things somehow worked in the first movie because it was funny and amusing, but now it just looks like an overstretched joke

The VFX look terrible. I was looking forward to groundbreaking VFX that would apparently teach hollywood a thing or two. This will make a lot of money tho. I didn't see the big deal in the first film and others seemed to go nuts.

the VFX is not great but the 3D effect in 2.0 is by far the best for any 3D movie made in India, till date. That's hardly a big accomplishment lmao. How many 3D films have been made in India that were actually decent? No matter how anyone paints it... the vfx is poor. Also I've never seen a Rajni film.. just from the look of him, I'm surprised he's such a big actor.

Before watching it, I thought maybe you guys were being overly critical, especially with how good the VFX in the original was. And the original was a brilliant movie, for me. But I have to agree, the VFX is absolutely terrible here. This does not look like a Shankar film from this trailer, so I hope the full trailer does better justice to the film. Very disappointing first look though.

The positive word of mouth and good reviews have helped the film to grow big. Shankar’s 2.0 has been appreciated not only in India but globally too. Its advanced technology and top-notch VFX have left everyone stunned. Enthiran (Robot) was appreciated by the audiences then, and 2.0, too, is being loved and it is winning hearts. Speaking about the numbers, the film has garnered a whopping amount of 170.50 crores* at the India box office. It has also become Akshay’s highest grossing film of all time. Amidst breaking and making records, 2.0 has achieved another feat. It has successfully surpassed one big film of 2018, Padmaavat. The Rajni starrer has grossed over 620 crores at the worldwide box office leaving behind Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat which had grossed over 560 crores then. With this, it has topped the worldwide box office for the year 2018 (excluding China). Now that’s HUGE! After all this, this Akshay Kumar & Rajinikanth starrer is also all set to hit the China theatres in May, 2019. Even before its release, the film has set a new record. Before its release in China, 2.0 has already created a huge record as its dubbed and subtitled version will be arriving in 10,000 theatres with 56,000 screens, which includes 47,000 3D screens. It will mark the biggest 3D release for any overseas film in history. The third week has collected 18 crore nett in its third week so far and will do around 21 crore nett in the third week. This will leave the film at around 412 crore nett which is still behind the two Bahubali films but ahead of Dangal if we take into account business in all formats. Bahubali - The Beginning had grossed 418 crore nett and this film looks to be finishing in the same range but it is better in terms of GROSS as it at 518 crore already while Bahubali - The Beginning did 516 crore in its total run. This means the film has the second highest collections in the history of Indian cinema at the box office in India. The collections of 2.0 in India on all formats are as follows. Week One - 3,07,00,00,000 apprx (8 days) Week Two - 83,50,00,000 apprx Week Three - 18,00,00,000 apprx (5 Days) TOTAL - 4,09,50,00,000 apprx The Overseas business of the film looks to be finishing at around $18.50 million but that is on reported collections. The worldwide number will fall short of 700 crore and should finish around 665-670 crore which is actually the second best ever also if we discount the China release. In terms of all format releases it is in sixth place. www.boxofficeindia.com/report-details.php?articleid=4533
