I know the three Khan fanbases love to bash each other & the other Khan's (that isn't their favourite) but I was wondering what people here think of them? Especially since the 3 are often counted together and many have called 2018 the beginning of the end for the Khan's (typical overdramatic media if you ask me).
Salman for me never was a great actor but he used to have more variety in his filmography & try more, since Dabaang he has been mostly in permanent generic action hero mode. I still liked some like BB or Sultan but stuff like Ready, Kick etc. was awful and undeserved hits/blockbusters. At least Race 3 failed..more like that needs to so he is challenged and changes again.
Aamir is far superior overall as an actor and his filmography is pretty good. Just like the others he did plenty of crap in the 90's especially but he became smart and started mostly picking good scripts. Content driven movies like Lagaan, 3 Idiots, Dangal etc. are the reason he is so popular now & got the reputation of being a "Perfectionist" (agree with it or not). Thugs was an unusual (and deserved) flop here.

Thugs was an unusual (and deserved) flop here. Salman could probably be a decent actor if he were given a good script. But he seems happy letting his biceps do the acting And as long as the moolah rolls in, everyone associated with his films are happy as well! I don't watch his films because they are so infantile and boring - and not value for our expensive multiplex tickets in India. He is still the Numero Uno and perhaps will be for some time, but the slide will begin,,s..l..o..w..l..y. I get the feeling he doesn't care one way or the other. Aamir was smart enough to diversify his roles long back. His films, while commercial in nature, mostly have engaging stories and he puts his heart into his characters. I last saw him in Dangal and it was a well made, though predictable film. Mostly, he seems to have got the balance right between pure 'masala' films (like Race or Tiger Zinda which pander to cheap thrills or big fan bases) and more 'arty' films. I say mostly, because even perfectionists can fall flat on their faces , ha ha ha!! To me, the last year belonged to Vicky Kaushal, Ayushman Khurana, Alia Bhatt and more of their tribe who worked in underhyped but interestingly scripted, well acted and neat films, all with the feel of a 'real' India and its complexities. I would add that Akshay Kumar too seems to have woken up to some ground realities with a film like Pad Man.
