I couldn't sit through the first movie. I didn't think they would actually manage to make their second look even worse.

Isn't there a decent minimum requirement on what film even deserves a sequel. What a terrible looking film. If this makes money, I will have to finally accept the reality that I am just plain old.

What was that? Just put Tiger in action movies and be done with it. If they were doing a sequel of SOTY they should have gotten a newcomer guy as well.

Another classic ruined
SOTY1 might have been mediocre, but atleast it gave equal footage to all 3 students. Or atleast to the two boys. And the Disco song was actually really good
Here it's a total Tiger show based on the two trailers. Everyone else is a side artist. The same jumping around by him over and over... He jumps like a monkey, lands on his feet and then stares at the camera (probably expecting an applause) #MonkeyOfTheYear
And the song sounds really crappy

SOTY worked due to the curiosity factor and new faces. There is none of it here. Tiger has been around for too long to be a fresh face. It will still work given how the emphasis appears to be to leverage his box office strengths.

I listened to the songs too and I agree that the songs aren't bad at all. Like the arijit song. In comparison, the music for SOTY 1 was a lot better.

Surprised to see positive comments for the album. I listened to the whole thing this weekend and I felt it is easily one of the worst albums to come out from Dharma Productions. even Simbaa had 2-3 tracks that were worth listening repeatedly.
SOTY 1 was far better in comparison and had proper chart busters and a solid remix (Disco Song).
Here they butchered the remix song with horrendous English lyrics. The "Soulful" tunes are very poorly composed and the singers are only able to make it bearable. The part numbers are average.

^ I have to agree. Aside from a decent fakira, the soundtrack is meh.
Same goes for Bharat's soundtrack and most Bollywood movies nowadays.

True Bharat's soundtrack is equally bad. This year's top 10/20 charts is just really mediocre so far. Gully Boy is the only one which did justice, but that is a very restricted genre to begin with. Even Kalank which had so much potential to atleast have a classic album has just 2-3 good melodies.

Not Tiger ...the no-name kid who is playing the 'villain' in the movie (Aditya Seal) said that the same people who are bashing SOTY2 praise Avengers, when both films are fantasies. Its hypocritical according to him and anyone who is disliking the movie is just a hater Because story, script, acting, direction etc dont matter if its a fantasy movie |
