Dea Yeah I saw the Judge and really liked it too, though probably wouldn't give it a 9 . But RDJ was definitely great, I tend to always like him in movies too. Robert Duvall of course was also brilliant. Nightcrawler was damn good too, though I think they revealed too much in trailers, but Jake Gylenhall gave an amazing performance. I saw Kingsman The Secret Service, I can see what you mean about the action abhijacko it was indeed incredibly well shot-the church scene especially was insane. Overall it was a very fun, entertaining movie, I didn't realise it was same director as X-Men First Class and Kick-Ass, no wonder, I loved both those movies. And Colin Firth was sooo good, never imagined him as action hero before though I've always liked his acting, so not surprised exactly that he pulled it off. Taron Egerton was also great, especially given this is first big movie, definitely a promising start to his career.

Her - 4/10. What a snooze fest. Guardians of the Galaxy - 9/10. Such a funny entertaining film. Loved it. Captain America: Winter Soldier - 8/10. Another little gem from Marvel. They just keep nailing this genre.

Her - 4/10. What a snooze fest. I know such a boring film. I found Lucy boring too. It felt like they did not know how to end it. Has anyone seen Birdman?

Focus - 7/10
Wasn't sure what to expect. But It was really entertaining and pretty slick. Was good to see Will Smith in a good movie, and Margot Robbie did a really good job as well.

The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel Huge disappointment, especially since I enjoyed the first one so much. The plot was almost non-existent and seemed to depend on characters' ludicrous reactions to situations to move it along. The only positive elements in the film, for me, were the frequent shots of Jaipur and a little bit of dance, which fitted nicely into context. 2/5 stars

Chappie - 9/10
Absolutely loved it. Chappie had what Elysium did not - soul and feels ! I loved D9 and was bored out of my wits with Elysium. Thankfully Blomkamp went back to his roots instead of getting overwhelmed by the massive budgets, which is what happened with Elysium. This man knows how to make his characters connect with the audiences on the most basic level, and strongly. Which is why when he has subplots of racism in D9 or greed/love/etc in Chappie he comes out a winner. The action was well choreographed, but despite being plentiful it somehow still remains in the background. The screenplay was tight - never a dull moment. Music by Hans Zimmer - I absolutely did not recognize it was his music until the rolling credits - fits perfectly with the setting. Two thumbs up for Chappie and his dysfunctional family

Cinderella - 10/10
Oh my ...I absolutely loved it. Obviously the technical stuff such as sets and costumes were wonderful, but the script here is really good in general, not just for a fairy tale movie. Tbh I never liked the story of Cinderella and the original animated movie, but this one just worked for me on all levels. Lily James and Cate Blanchett killed it as Ella and evil Stepmother. Kudos to Richard Madden for his performance, who has the best acting scene of the movie with Derek Jacobi near the end of the film. Patrick Doyle’s score was beautiful . Ngl I shed tears multiple times. Branagh's direction is fantastic, and honestly, I can't really think how someone could remotely not find enjoyment in this movie. It's funny, heartfelt, and there's a lot of depth to it. My favourite movie of the year so far. Highly Recommended

Wild - 6/10A good performance from Witherspoon and some taut direction skills are the only redeeming points for this movie. I totally did not relate with this story and pretty much hated the main character. Cheryl Strayed's life is full of terribly stupid actions and decisions, so much so that when something as grievous as her mother's death strikes you hardly feel any sympathy for her. And it almost seems like she hitch hiked most of her trail instead of trailing and had unexpected help around every corner. Hardly a tale worth caring about. The small monologue in the end pretty much describes what was wrong with the movie - tried to sound deep and meaningful while making no sense

Furious 7 was insane, action-packed, thrilling, emotional and ridiculous at times ...and I loved every single minute of it It's exactly what you'd expect from a F&F movie. The last 5-10 minutes of the film had me in tears, it was so beautiful and moving A perfect way to send off Paul Walker. Rest in peace!

Just got back from Furious 7 myself. Never really followed the franchise and have only seen the first movie in completion. Was a decent entertainer - pretty much what I expected - action stunts after stunts. Some of them were seriously ridiculous - almost expendables and michael bay ridiculous. Actually the whole experience was like watching one of those South Indian remake movies we get in Bollywood these days. OTT action, cheesy dialogues and sappy romance. Only the songs were missing

First time I watched a Malayalam movie in my life. A friend had recomended me "Drishyam" starring Mohanlal. Just finished watching the movie and I am breathless. What a movie !!! This is probably the best intelligent thriller I have ever seen which is made in India. First half was family drama with some funny and lighter moments. The second half was so thrilling that you can't really miss a scene. The last suspense thriller I watched and thought brilliant was Kahaani. However Drishyam is better than Kahaani because here you know who is the murderer right at the time the murder takes place but the cover up is very intelligently scripted and executed. This is the kind of movie I like where the screenplay gets me engaged and gives goosebumps thruough out. I will be strict and rate Drishyam 9.9/10I took your recommendation and ordered a subtitled version from India. Thank you! It was fabulous!

Furious 7 - 7/10
It was a good entertainer, however it wasn't as great as I though it would be. Ending was sad.

I also saw Fast & Furious 7. Like with the 6th part, I only really saw this casue it was with friends. I haven't actually seen the first five movies in this franchise. However, in a way tha tmight be a good thing as I"m not finding it too repetitive yet. The movie is totally brainless but it is entertaining so it serves its part. And it's a perfect one to watch with friends in a way.

Kingsman: The Secret Service One of the funniest and most violent action movies in years !! hilarious The church fight scene must be the scene of the year ! closely followed by Netflix's Daredevil hall scene 9,5/10 Better than Avengers 2 IMO

Mad Max: Fury Road 10/10
Amazing experience that needs to be witnessed on the big screen. Tom Hardy was pretty good, although despite being Mad Max, he was almost playing second fiddle to an absolutely badass Furiosa (Charlize)
Movie is basically a 120 minute long car chase with a couple of breaks in between. Sounds boring, but it is anything but that. An absolute thrill ride. No shaky camera, no excessive CGI, Rustic yet colorful visuals. A violent poetry

Kingsman: The Secret Service Better than Avengers 2 IMO I had proclaimed that Kingsman could be the movie with the best action for this year. And this still holds true even after Avengers. Although Mad Max comes close to challenge it

Mad Max: Fury Road - 10/10
This movie was insane!! Like, holy sh*t!
The scale, the stunts, the visuals, the car work is astounding. Yet it doesn't feel like it’s tedious to watch or overdone. The soundtrack easily compliments it. Hardy was good, but Theron and Hoult owned this. Miller knows how to direct action and it shows on screen.
Not kidding when I say I've never seen anything like it. Believe the hype. Worthy of being in the discussion of "greatest action film ever".

Interesting to see these positives on Mad Max, really surprised with how well its' been received by critics too. When I saw the trailer, I thought it looked terrible-just mindless action with no plot, but I guess I will check out the movie now.

When I saw the trailer, I thought it looked terrible-just mindless action with no plot, but I guess I will check out the movie now. The plot is pretty basic, so don't go in expecting a deep storyline yet the movie doesn't lack "soul". The visuals and the action and the madness with the backdrop of the Australian wilderness is mind blowing. There are a few emotional/dramatic moments which are executed very well thanks to a stellar performance from Charlize.
