Cool, thanks for the feedback Monika and riverpantheraAnd I agree - Simpsons is the best 'family' animation of all time. Especially at its peak, it was hilarious with a coherent story line. And besides the family and Homer, it had some of the most entertaining peripheral characters - Ned Flanders, Burns-Smithers combo, Apu, Chief Wiggum, Seymour Skinner, Crabapple - could go on and on. Ofcourse, I also swear by South Park. They have the most creative team. The way they tackle 'current on goings in the world' without compromising on humor is simply brilliant

Recently been watching a lot of QI. It's so funny and interesting. Can't believe I never saw it before, I had always seen ads for it on TV but somehow never actually watched it. Stephen Fry is great.

I started watching Breaking Bad finally too, half way through season 2 now. I can certainly see why it's popular. Great stuff so far!

Just started watching Sherlock and I love it. In one word - it's brilliant. Definitely see why it has a 9.3 IMDB rating. Benedict Cumberbatch is superb as Sherlock.

I've started watching aussie mini-series SECRETS & LIES - watch for the US copy being filmed soon. I also enjoy British Series RECTIFY, SILENT WITNESS & my fave is coming back soon WAKING THE DEAD...(the latter is a kind of UK version of Cold Case) and oh yeah, aussie series DR BLAKE MYSTERIES, starring our lovable Craig McLachlan...former star of Home & Away or was it Neighbours?...whatever! he's all grown up now)

How's the final season of HIMYM so far? We still have to wait for the dubbing, unfortunately. Hit and miss so far. I liked the first half of the season, but now it's getting a bit boring. And am I alone in my Castle love? Yes? Aww. I like Castle very much but I don't take it as far as you; nobody can. Series I enjoy: The Newsroom, The Hour; I was really impressed by Broadchurch. I also quite like DCI Banks for its realistic feel and Yorkshire setting but I simply can't understand the hoopla around Sherlock; it leaves me stone cold. The series I LOVE is House of Cards, I binged on season 2 over the first weekend of its release.

It's based on Peter Robinson's Inspector Alan Banks books, you might have read them. Another British series I watched recently was Call the Midwife which I enjoyed very much as well. What I liked in Broadchurch was the oppressing atmosphere they created, the close knit community that is actually stifling, which I think can only work as a one-off. However there's going to be a second series without the lead actor who's busy with the Canadian remake.

Actually this is something I've noticed with many british shows, the actors/actresses seem more real somehow in comparison to most american shows. Of course, I am generalising, because there are american shows that do that too. But mostly I find British shows seem to have more realistic depictions not just actors either but overall environment etc.

True Detective- great show, the two leads do a brilliant job and the writing is top notch as well. The atmosphere created is so creepy throughout. And the last episode, wow, that was intense.
This is actually the first proper thing I've seen Matthew Mcconaughey in, I'm definitely looking forward to Interstellar even more now, although I was already. And I can certainly see why this guy won an Oscar if his performance in that movie was anythign like here.
It's funny in a way, in my post above I was talking about how I prefer the realism style of British shows, and most american shows don't have that. But some do and True Detective is definitely one of them.

Finished watching all episodes of Sherlock. I'd rate it a 9.5/10 overall. Everything is near flawless but the stand out feature is the acting and on-screen chemistry of Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) and Martin Freeman (John Watson) which lifts an already exceptional TV show to another level. I haven't been as mesmerized by a movie or TV show and acting performance in recent years as I have been by Sherlock and Benedict's acting.

Orphan Black- saw first season, and wow this show took me completely by surprise. I had heard about it, but I honestly never expected it to be this good. The acting by the lead actress is simply phenomenal. You totally believe that each character she is playing is a separate person. . I'm eagerly waiting for season 2 now.

Oh I love Orphan Black! The new season starts Apr 19! The deft way they throw such clever black humor into a very serious subject is great fun to watch! One of my favorite episodes involved a suburban neighborhood monthly potluck. It was hilarious!

I saw ORPHAN BLACK, Season 1 too. It was wonderful. Waiting for the next one. Good to know it starts next month.
In the recent times I have seen. All of DOCTOR WHO (Classic and 2005 Series except for incomplete stories), Its Spin-offs TORCHWOOD & SARA JANE ADVENTURES, THE ESCAPE ARTIST, BROADCHURCH Season 1, ORPHAN BLACK Season 1. Some really different and interesting stuff.
Anyone know when BROADCHURCH, Season 2 is likely to start? I read someone saw the Promo.

^It's weird, I searched online for news, but couldn't find any. The latest news I saw was simply that David Tennant and Olivia Coleman were returning. I wonder if the trailer was only shown in australia and not anywhere else. And it does not look like they have started filming (the article I read said starting later in the year), so sandidi, I'm very curious as to what this promo even showed, was it mostly just clips from first season?

I thought the worst finale in the history of finales was the Dexter one, but no, HIMYM tops it all. This was the biggest bullsh*it I've ever seen. I invested 9 freaking years in this Show and they let it end this way. NO! JUST NO! You will burn in hell for this writers. I'm just sooooo mad

I just watched the How I Met Your Mother finale and OMG I hated it so much! I thought it was going to be wonderful and was going to make me emotional and cry. I do want to cry right now, but not because it was good, but because I'm so mad about it! Arghhh! Worst ending ever! Why would they do that!?

I just watched the return of The Kumars & one of the guest stars was Olivia Colman, star of Broadchurch...unbelievably, she's actually a comedienne (professionally!) so, so different from her role in Broadchurch.
