I used to watch (only videos) 3 amazing mini series' from Quebec 1. Les Filles de Caleb - aka in the dubbed version (by the original actors) "Emilie" - with Marina Orsini, Roy Dupuis, Germain Houde, Vincent Bolduc ... 2. Scoop - with Roy Dupuis, Macha Grenon, Rémy Girad ... 3. Le Dernier Chapitre and Le Dernier Chapitre: La Vengeance aka in the dubbed version The Last Chapter and The Last Chapter II: The War Continues with (obviously haha) Roy Dupuis
I loved re-watching them - but unfortunately I don't have DVDs. I should convert the cassetts to DVDs.
Especially Emilie is awesome!! I miss it.

I thought the worst finale in the history of finales was the Dexter one, but no, HIMYM tops it all. This was the biggest bullsh*it I've ever seen. I invested 9 freaking years in this Show and they let it end this way. NO! JUST NO! You will burn in hell for this writers. I'm just sooooo mad Totally agree! I tortured myself through the crappy ninth season just for the Happy Ending and this is what happens!!!:@:@:@

I saw the new Sherlock series. All of it and it was brilliant. 9 Feature length episodes, enjoyed watching all of them. Series 2 is my most favorite. Benedict Cumberbatch is brilliant in the role. When I see his scenes I am totally amused. Its not an easy part to play and he delivers it so brilliantly. I hear its about 2 years of wait till we get the next series. Never knew much about Sherlock before apart from the fact that he is a fictional detective. Thanks to riverpanthera I know him now. With increasing interest in Sherlock, I am currently watching Sherlock 1984 TV Series featuring Jeremy Brett in the title role. Totally loving it. Mr Brett makes a brilliant Sherlock. I read he is usually voted as the best even today and I can see why. The old world charm in the look and feel of this show, its language is fantastic. Along the way I am also seeing the the 1939 Film series featuring Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes. I really like this version of Sherlock too. Mr Rathbone is easy on the eyes and a treat to watch. Seen 2 films so far out of 14. Totally loved the first film "The Hound Of Baskerville".

Im also loving the jeremy brett sherlock and basil rathbone with ujjwala its great having someone to discuss it with especially Definitely recommend the brett one especially other sherlock lovers on here if you haven't already seen it. Its incredibly faithful to the books. And the actors are just wonderful. Also following game of thrones. Im actually watching ep 2 now EDIt- wow finished the episode and I can see what everyone is talking about. Cannot believe the ending! {Spoiler}I'm so happy Joffrey's dead, but very worried for Tyrion now. Though I will also miss Joffrey in one sense, the actor- Jack Gleeson- played him really did a marvellous job and he was a great character to hate

The end of the latest Game of Thrones episode made me so happy. I was anticipating it the whole time.
{Spoiler} Joffrey is finally dead. That was maybe the most satisfying TV death of all time. Praise the Lord!

No, we only get 1 episode I'm certain. Although I'm not watching on TV since the NZ ones are sooo behind american. The show was definitely quite dull at the start. I actually gave up on it too. I saw a couple of episodes and then stopped, but I was still downloading the others in case I later gave it another shot which I ended up doing in the last month- mainly cause I was watching with someone else, not by myself. I dont' think I would have had the patience on my own. i saw a whole bunch of episodes all in a row. But it really has improved over time.

A great way to end the season on Person of Interest. Bring on season 4, can't wait! I loved Greer and Decima being responsible for Vigilance though I did think it was one of the likely scenarious I was thinking of. That explains why Greer was so calm the other day when he was captured by Vigilance. I expected Collier to die but did not know how exactly. A great set up for next year too with Samariton fully operational and the team all split up. Of course it was obvious that Samariton would 'win' otherwise the show would hav ended. But I did not expect that Root's plan wasn'teven to try to shut it. But making it blind to their identies was a pretty neat twist.

Game of Thrones...another wow moment {Spoiler}Oberyn and the Mountain both dead, didn't expect that at the start! Though I did think Oberyn was going to lose the moment he got over confident and started to ask the Mountain to confess. But I still don't think they will kill Tyrion. Maybe he'll escape or because the Mountain also died the will declare it a tie. I actually wondered about that already, why is Tyrion sentenced if they both died.

Game of Thrones really knows how to take your head between it's meaty paws and crush it along with all your hopes and dreams, doesn't it?
{episode 8}I hope GRRM is proud of himself ... thanks for creating Oberyn, making me love him and then take him away from me in the most terrible way. I will never forgive you for this ...you sadistic and sick bastard

Fargo- what a brilliant finale and a great show overall too. I love that it was just a one season story like True Detective. Highly recommend it! The acting is amazing as well.

Fargo- what a brilliant finale and a great show overall too. I love that it was just a one season story like True Detective. Highly recommend it! The acting is amazing as well. I always loved the original movie, but I wondered how on earth they could transfer that brilliance onto TV. Well, they certainly did it! The last 10 weeks I've been immersed in Game of Thrones, Orphan Black, and Fargo. All 3 are finishing up the season within a week of each other, and it's going to be a long dry spell! Oh BTW... I don't know if you're aware that True Detective, and possibly even Fargo, aren't actually one and done. TD is definitely coming back, but with a whole new story, cast, and location. The rumor has Brad Pitt in Northern California. The creator/writer of Fargo says they might be back too, but also with an all-new cast and story within that same world. Did you know the Critic's Choice TV Awards were held last night? All my favorites won. Critics' Choice Awards, 2014 BEST MINI-SERIES Fargo (FX) (WINNER) BEST ACTOR IN A MOVIE OR MINI-SERIES Billy Bob Thornton, Fargo (FX) (WINNER) BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A MOVIE OR MINI-SERIES Allison Tolman, Fargo (FX) (WINNER) BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A MOVIE OR MINI-SERIES Colin Hanks, Fargo (FX) (Nominated) BEST ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES Tatiana Maslany, Orphan Black (BBC America) (WINNER) BEST ACTOR IN A DRAMA SERIES Matthew McConaughey, True Detective (HBO) (WINNER) www.criticschoice.com/television-awards/

I did know about True Detective coming back though hadnt heard brad Pitt Rivers rumour. Wasnt so sure of Fargo coming back. Thats cool! And nice to see the critics choice winners as well.

Fargo, the movie, is definitely in the same 'world' as the TV series, although the story itself and all the characters are different. There are echos and call-backs in the series that movie-lovers really enjoyed. You should go ahead and watch it while the series is fresh in your mind. You'll be saying 'Oh, THAT's why that was in there!' {Spoiler}Like: the wimpy guy trying to get away with murder, the briefcase of money, the ice scraper, the pregnant sheriff... the only thing lacking was a wood chipper.

I see lots of love for Suits For some reason I could never get into it though. I have seen the first 4-5 episodes. Never felt compelled to go back to it after But then again, dramas are not my cup of tea. I am more a comedy fan PS: does anyone have any good, different comedy recommendations? Some of my all time favorites in order : The Office / South Park (tied) Arrested development The IT Crowd Parks and Recreation Always sunny in Philadelphia
