Crushing loss for my team (WI) yesterday. Poor overall effort. Serves them right for leaving Dwayne Bravo out "on performance"!!! Narine and Bravo would have made a LOT of difference to the WI.

Ireland have staked claim early in the tournament. Brushing aside WestIndies with so much ease, that it will definitely cause a major concern for the other group B teams. The moment they started batting, it looked like they would pull off the chase with ease. They just seemed so confident and sure of themselves. Group B has to be the group of death. UAE is the only one that is almost certainly not going to make it to the QFs. All other Group B teams are in with an equal chance I actually think Group B is easier for India. The only reason it seems more evenly matched is cause pretty much all the main teams except South Africa haven't been in good form,. India,Pakistan, WEst Indies, they've all done badly, but that's their own fault and in fact they are lucky to be in easier group, if they were playing in opposite group that would be worse. But I mean if you had looked at the start at 4 big teams in each group (India, Pakistan, South Africa, West Indies) vs (Australia, New Zealand, England, Sri Lanka plus Bangladesh which is barely a minnow anymore, so almost have 5 teams). Especially have Aus and NZ, both hosts and both in amazing form in one group is really bad for the other teams. You can pretty much saw, that's two spots gone already.

Hmmm, maybe in paper. But on-paper strength hardly matters in cricket. Simply on current form, Group B has become the group of death
It was good to see a low scoring game after the run riots in the first 4 matches though

I feel that India would definitely reach Semi Finals.......But if Kohili shines then who knows maybe we may retain the cup.....He is devastating when India are batting second and chasing targets......
I hope Indian batsmen fire (current bowling lineup is mediocre at best) and if not then Aussies will definitely win the cup.....

^ I don't think England are as bad as they were made to look yesterday. This was some brilliant captaincy from McCullum yesterday. I don't think there is another team in the world, including the mighty Aussies too, that would have had 4 slips and no third man for a bulk of the game yesterday. Just plain brilliant aggressive captaincy. Playing at home and knowing the conditions better than anyone else helped definitely. But it was still terrific to watch. I think any team would have messed up playing against that kiwi side yesterday. Black Caps looking real good for a deep run.

Southee, what a player. the best ODI fast bowler around. The way he was making the ball talk, even the greatest of the teams would succumb. And its a bit ironic that it had to be England, because the conditions are known for swing and movement. You would think their batsmen would have the presence of mind to atleast hang around when they lost the 5th-6th wicket.

That game was amazing, I wa sfollowing at work, and at one point I jokingly said to my coworker that it might be over by the time I get home, but never actually expected it to be. Saw the replay later and geez, the way southee bowled was amazing, and then Brendon just went crazy with the bat. Awesome for an NZ fan, but feel bad for englad, it's kinda bad luck having both opening games against hosts in great form, I don't think they are that bad a team, I feel they can turn this around. I would expect them to beat Sri Lanka, Scotland,Bangladesh & Afganisthan ideally. Only thing now they be a bit demoralised so their next game against Scotland could be a bit risky.
On another note, looks like today could be first weather affected match-Aus vs Bangladesh is very likely to be washout, Bangladesh would be extremely lucky if that happened.
Hope West Indies win against Pakistan, they have scored well in their innings (310), see what Pakistan does now.

Great win for the West Indies against Pakistan. They just have to hang in there and the results will improve. Hopefully Darren bravo is ok too.

Long overdue knock from Gayle yesterday. Hope he can continue smashing to all parts against RSA and India - two bowling attacks he loves.

WI have scored a 300+ total in all the three games. This will worry the rest of Group B a lot. Yet another contender for topping the group

abhijacko But given how many runs they have leaked against Zim and Ireland after putting up such totals, I don't think other teams need worry much. The WI bowling lineup is worse than India's man. Atrocious bowling last night. They badly need an in-form Roach and a fully fit Benn.

Hmm I dint watch the second innings. They bowled really well against Pakistan though. Especially Taylor and Holder upfront were brilliant with the new ball. Their backup bowling is definitely weak though. Lets see

^ Of course. They have definitely punched above their weight. Despite that, they are still one of the worst bowling attacks in the world.

As a WI fan, I am more sick and tired of ABD than I was even when Kallis hit 7 centuries in a row against us. Actually, scratch that. ABD is one of the greatest batsmen of all time already in my books (and the best in the world currently), so it should not feel as bad as a far inferior batsman in Kallis racking up hundreds against us. But it still hurts man. What a pathetic bowling lineup for the WI. Yeah, go drop one of the best ODI players in the world in Dwayne Bravo just purely out of spite, and you have it coming. A quarterfinal berth that seemed more or less certain has now been cast wide open with Ireland and Pakistan now joining in the fun. Pathetic performance from the WI.

sikander Easiest question ever, even though they have had a plethora of true all-time greats. Batsmen: 1. Brian Lara 2. Viv Richards 3. Garry Sobers Bowlers: 1. Curtly Ambrose 2. Malcolm Marshall 3. Joel Garner Who are yours?

Should be an absolute cracker. THE game of this world cup, in my opinion. If there is a rematch in Australia later on, that should be ever more fun. These 2 look like the only teams that can beat each other. Looking forward to cracking performances at the top of the order from McCullum and Warner.

Aus vs NZ
All NZ need to do is prepare a slightly green wicket, and Southe-Boult will stomp all over this Australian batting lineup

Well i was wrong.
Apparently the kiwis dont even need a helpful wicket to knock over this australian batting lineup
