Very sad we lost but still very proud of what the NZ team has done over the 1-2 years, our rise within cricket has been just amazing to watch. I just hope this means that more countries will tour NZ more often, and invite us to play more at their home as well.
that's been the biggest problem for us in the past, we hardly get to play as many matches as the other big teams cause no one wants to play us. I mean its kinda sad that despite Aus/NZ being so close to each other, it's been years since we had a series between them. And India/SAF/SL etc also only seem to tour NZ every 5-6 years.
Aus totally deserved win, and getting a fifth world cup is just incredible. I actually would like the Aussie team if they didn't act like a bunch of jerks all the time.

Decent tournament, and happy Australia won. They played terrific cricket throughout the world cup. Positives from this world cup - very happy to hear we won't have to endure Brad Haddin and potty mouth anymore, at least in this format. When will Watson follow? Two idiots that have no business sullying this great game with their childishness.
Other thoughts about the world cup: 1. Very few matches that are worth remembering 2. Waaaaaay too long 3. Ireland's performance was very good. They stayed competitive throughout and need to be given more look-ins 4. Bangladesh's performance was heartening too. No one gave them a chance, but they were very good 5. England's horror show - they need to go back to the basics, drop a bunch of their senior players and build their one-day team around batsmen that show some flair. Pick a team knowing what every single player brings to the table, and just let them do their thing and put up an entertaining show. That is the only way for England to make something out of an absolute horror of a tournament. 6. Wahab Riaz's spell to Shane Watson - I will remember this for a long long time. It was breathtaking, more so for me because it came against a douche like Watson. 7. Did I say way too long already? I cannot stress it enough. Sack the idiot that put Australia and NZ together in one group (it was probably a BCCI lackey, so it won't happen) and the other money-hungry idiots in power that stretched a tournament that should have lasted no more than 20 days into a month and a half long farce.
