This one isn't Dhoom3. Atleast that had good song/dance numbers and some were actually impressed with the mindless stunts. This i'm sure won't do the same at the box office. This one is as bad as Mohenjo Daro.

already on verge of bumper opening 50Cr in India. Now a days, reviews have no correlation with BO performance (except longevity of theatrical run)

reviews may not affect the films opening. But they definitely affect how the movie does after monday.

It might crash and burn from today if the movie is as bad as the reviews suggest. Just big openings don’t matter anymore, even for Salman Khan. Not a single good review, yash raj is literally retweeting just fan reviews.

Why should that be "good", mohan?
There is no fairness in stating the allegedly 50 cr opening day as a record (like with every other past & future procedures like that). Showing the movie on the most festive friday in the year with 5000 screens alone in India and with a inflated ticket price will naturelly make a record sum...none of the others movies crossed had such a starting situation.
In my opinion one has to make the maths with footfalls and available screens and shows; t h e n one can compare. What BOI (and others do over & over again) is 'window-dressing'.

The WOM is terrible. I saw the film last night and everyone i was with hated it.. you could even hear people in distress when the "intermission" logo popped up.. i guess everyone assumed we were near the end of the movie and were not ready for another 90 mins.
Personally, i felt like the movie had potential.. You had the actors/sets/premise for a very good film. But you handed it to a terrible director and well you got a proportional product. It was so horribly directed that by the 2nd half you just don't give a damn. The songs were also just average, where you would expect a star cast like that would have at least 1 or two chart busters. The background score how ever was excellent. Honestly, even dumb moments felt thrilling due to its score.

Good in the sense that its been rejected or it will be rejected after the weekend
The trailers were already so bad

Okay, I understand, mohan. Thanks Honestly, I don't give a big importance to teasers or trailers and I didn't watch one of the promotional videos. But I agree that the movie has a lot of flaws which even lower the entertainment- or fun-factor. There are too much missed opportunities, imo.

Looks like BOI is at the heart of numbers meddling, by echoing YRfs figures
Funnily enough, they had 8 articles about TOH day 1 collections, and just the one report for day 2

I am actually stunned. In bangalore, for such an event movie, you cannot get tickets for the same day or next day especially if it is Saturday or Sunday. People consume movies here like crazy
But TOH tickets are so readily available. 80% theaters are showing green on bookmyshow even for evening and afternoon shows. IMAX everything is green

Looks like it. The trade and distributors were reporting a much larger drop. The film hasn't done too well overseas either.

In spite of all the empty theaters, YRF is still pretending this is a blockbuster and giving huge fake numbers.
The movie looked so bad even from the trailers. I'm glad Aamir has been exposed. People thought he was invincible and knows everything there is to know about scripts. Please! He got lucky with Hirani and sticking himself in a franchise like Dhoom. Other than that, his ratio is the same as everyone else.

Thugs Of Hindostan Has Big Fall On Day TwoSaturday 10 November 2018 10.00 IST Box Office India Trade Network Thugs Of Hindostan has seen a big fall on day two as collections come in lower than earlier estimates at 28 crore nett apprx. The film has seen a big drop of 45% on an all India basis but most places have come down 50%. The drop is around 30% in UP, Gujarat and Bihar but that is due to post Diwali. This takes the two day total of the film to 78 crore nett which is a good total but the drop in collections is a bad sign Prem Ratan Dhan Payo released in 2016 on the same day as Thugs Of Hindostan grosed 39.32 crore nett on day one and was 29.90 crore nett on day two which is a drop of 24%. Here it is 45% which is far more than it should be. The drop had to be around 15% if the film was to meet its huge expectations and somewhere between 20-30% would have been called a normal drop. The places that are holding better will eventually drop when the holiday affect is over. The collections of Thugs Of Hindostan till date are as follows. Friday - 50,00,00,000 apprx Saturday - 28,00,00,000 apprx TOTAL - 78,00,00,000 apprx It is a must for the film to see Saturday not drop further just for some respectability in the trend as it will be in freefall if Saturday goes down. The problem will be some centers will out of the holiday zone which will hit collections and it will be about the metro multiplexes to go up on Saturday. No matter what happens now it is certain to be an under performing film with this day two number which makes it the second big one after Race 3. Both also had the two of three best dates of the year with Eid and Diwali. The other good date being Christmas. boxofficeindia.com/report-details.php?articleid=4421

Look like founder 100 cr manipulation goes to Aamir khan. Thursday number also hugely over reported. It should be some where between 42-45 Cr and that too because hike in ticket rates but accupency was low compare to sanju and tzh first Sunday.

Watched it yesterday and honestly it was torture. One of the worst I've seen. Hopefully from this film people will realise how much of an overrated actor Aamir is.

Unlikely. He isn't being blamed. It's all going to the director. Basically if the movie is good, it's him, else it's the director's fault

I would like to know what this guy is telling... He is a single screen owner and was saying how vidhu vinod chopra was forcing him to raise ticket prices from 80-100 rupees to 200-300 for PK. But he did not agree because the audience that comes to his theater cannot afford that much. Since he did not agree to such high prices, they did not sell the film to him to play in his theater. It will cause him losses but he inflate ticket prices like this.

so Aamir got lucky with scripts with social message so far, and D3 is pure Christmas weekend luck. Both Aamir and Salman went flat this year, as usual SRK to rescue khans once again this year.

Salmans stardom is plain overrated. He has given flop and average on big festivals with solo release. If there is no action masala he is totally zero. Srk never give flop on any festival even poor movie like Dilwale (which has lowest virdict among his festival release) servive very well for three weeks despite clashing with giant like BM and it was a phenomenal in overseas. Between i am curious to know Amir stardom in overseas without Xmas. Boi yet report anything.
