Brazil smash Cameroon and Uruguay send Italy out. Brilliant. It's a shame if Suarez did bite him and he's given a ban that ends his world cup.
And what about that cross from Ronaldo to keep Portugal in the world cup. Though it's a shame he's injured and not able to perform at his best.

I was happy Uruguay smashed Italy until i saw the Suarez biting thing. Urrrgh. Though I suppose I cant' blame whole team for him but still it really soured the victory IMO. I really hope he's out of teh world cup at least- I didn't know that was confirmed yet.

It would be ridiculous if he isn't banned for a good number of games. Especially since he is a repeat offended
What a d**k

Unfortunate for Portugal and Ronaldo to be out so early - could have been a different story if he was 100% fit.

I am glad they are out this time. Sorry to say. I just can't their way of behaviour on the field. And besides the fact, that he is a brilliant footballer I can't stand Ronaldo. Bad actors so to say

Apart from Pepe, I didn't find anything wrong or bad with their behavior compared to other teams. You're not the only one who can't stand Ronaldo but I like him, great competitor and footballer.

True that! About the behaviour - I just don't like their diving and theatrical behaviour. But they are not the only ones of course . I still support Germany but it'll be hard ...

I think Ronaldo is highly skilled and in fact first time I saw Portugal game, i had a good first impression of him and thought he was awesome- I think for part of the 2006 world cup I was actually supporting them quite strongly. But the more I saw him play, the more he annoyed me. I just really dislike his fake acting. i know all footballers do it, but he seems to be among the worst (at least from what I've seen).

Maybe he did in his earlier years but from what I've seen of him in recent years, he hasn't done much, if any, of that stuff.

Never thought it would go to penalties. Glad brazil could make it through but they don't look like favorites to win the whole thing anymore.

Great 2nd half between Netherlands and Mexico. Deserved win for the Dutch, Mexico sat back far too early.

I would have been happy with either Mexico or Netherlands winning. But I must say im a bit disappointed that the end result was due to a penalty from a totally fake fall. There's no way Robben should have been affected that much by it.. Feel really bad for Mexico.
Super happy about Costa Rica win thiugh

But penalty is not decided on how exaggerated the fall was. The Mexican defender hit Robben's foot in the box, while he was in a fairly decent position. That's a penalty 99 times out of 100

This was a clear penalty - no matter how theatralic Robben fell. You could see that in the slo-mo. No discussion about it.

No discussion about it. not denying it was a penalty and i don't blame referee at all but imo what robben did wasn't in the spirit of the game so kinda spoilt the victory for me. He barely should have tripped it was such a light touch.. but yeah im not too sad cause Netherlands was a team I was supporting and still am.

What a second half this was yesterday with Germany vs. Albania - wow - I nearly had an heart attack that late at night (The match started at 10pm Austrian time). I have to admit that I was so happy that Germany won. Even if the first half was kind of ridiculous footballing by them.

Four games Argentina have played in this World Cup and every one of them Messi more or less won on his own. Remind you of something?
3 more games, Leo ...only 3 more games! Vamos Albiceleste!!
