I will not comment on Christian as Batman cause when I saw his films I knew nothing about Batman. He was my intro to the character and hardly much registered during my watch. Since then the character of Batman has grown on me. I guess I should see them again sometime. But only thing I remember really bothering me was the dialog delivery. As Batman I could never understand what he was saying. I had to totally depend on subtitles. Yeab i think the batvoice in Nolans fims is one of the most criticised. But you really should watch them again. I think youll enjoy much more now youve see more superhero stuff

I have seen a lot of hate being given to Christian Bale's performance in the Dark Knight Trilogy ever since Batffleck has come along. And I think that is ridiculous ! I never had issues with Batman's voice and did not even notice it too much until I watched a couple of over-exaggerated youtube parody videos. As Bruce Wayne, you could truly feel the characters conflict thanks to Bale's acting chops
Nolan's movies in general take the cake for me because he was the only one who managed to add REAL depth and conflict to a superhero movie (otherwise it is hard to take them too seriously). And his vision needed really good actors to bring out this aspect of his story-telling. Not surprising that he chose brilliant actors like: Christian Bale / Morgan Freeman / Gary Oldman / Michael Caine / Tom Hardy / Heath Ledger / Anne Hathaway / etc. for his movie, and not surprising that these big name actors accepted these roles. They all did amazing jobs in their roles.
Its amazing if you think about it - The combined Oscar wins/nominations in these 3 movies is probably more than the combined number for MCU and DCEU

I never had issues with Bale's batman voice as well. In fact I liked it. I think people are being too nitpicky. IMO he made a perfect batman and Bruce Wayne. Affleck looks the part but his batman lacks that seriousness and depth (especially in the justice league trailer).

Saw Dallas Buyers Club (2013). What an amazing film and more than that such a brilliantly enacted film - Mattew Mcconaughey and Jared Leto, brilliant performers. Mattew Mcconaughey, I had seen in True Detective Season 1 and Intersteller, so I knew he was an awesome actor. But Jared Leto, I could not believe my eyes that this was the same guy who played the new Joker (though very less screentime and weird editing, I still loved his take on the character) was a total surprise. Its like he becomes the people he plays.

I hope you don't think I am one of those. I saw Batman series when I had just started watching English film and was very impressed with the Director's films like Inception, Memento and Prestige. I genuinely had trouble understanding the Batman voice then. It may be different now I have not seen them again in recent times.

^^ No no, not you. Just in general on the internet forums and comment sections, Bale's voice gets ridiculed a lot offlate. My roommate who was absolutely obsessed with Bale's Batman and never once complained about his voice recently started complaining about it ever since BvS came along. I personally feel like its blown out of proportion

Don't Breathe - 9/10
Damn! This was pretty fu*king awesome! Tense and terrifying. One of my favorite films of the year and one of the best (horror)thrillers I've seen in recent years. Highly recommended!

Sully -8/10 I was a bit sceptical at first though I still going to watch it cause of Tom Hanks, but despite the lack of a big enough story, the movie was done well.

Highly recommended! I loved it too. The suspense was very well built it - got a bit too nasty at one point though LOLL !! I got a 10 Cloverfield Lane vibe with it at some points, and that still remains my fav thriller in recent years and above Don't Breathe.

I wasn't expecting much from this either especially since I did not know much about the story. But I really loved the movie. Just long enough and the right amount of drama. And Tom Hanks never disappoints - he was phenomenal. Aaron Eckhart was excellent too

I soooo wanna watch this, having followed the entire incident for over 3 days almost non-stop. A lot of bravery involved, but never heard much about the psychological aftermath of that incident. Tom Hanks and Clint Eastwood is a wickedly delicious combo.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Rewatched it in IMAX as part of an event leading up to Fantastic Beasts. Was absolutely fantastic. The theater was packed, people were dressed up and it was the perfect crowd for rewatching the movie. I had forgotten how funny the movie was.. there are so many fun moments. Loved it
Might watch hp7 and hp8 later this weekend

abhijacko i actually think POA is one of the best if not the best if the series. The movie is just incredible even if it does cut out lot of things from book. I also feel on a shallower note that it was the only movie in which Harry had the right hairstyle haha.

Inferno- 7/10 It's not as good as The Da Vinci code or Angels & Demons but I still enjoyed it. Perhaps because this time I haven't read the book, so had no expectations in any way and also meant I didn't know what was happening. I was surprised to see Irfan Khan, didn't know he was in it, he has a good role too!
I think another reason I liked it was that it was just nice to see a movie like this after a long time. Makes me feel like watching the first two again.

Bridget Jones's Baby - 8/10
Saw this today and genuinely loved it. So much fun! Rene as Bridget is once in a lifetime. Irreplaceable. Emma Thompson is a queen among mortals and the reason Bridget Jones’ baby was so great is because she co-wrote the screenplay and was fu*king hilarious in it

The Light Between Oceans 8/10
Saw this last night. Very beautiful, moving, sad and stunningly photographed. It's had mixed reviews, some calling it schmaltzy, but I felt it was quite restrained considering the subject matter. Maybe I have been conditioned by some over-the-top B'wood!

Doctor Strange-7.5/10 Awesome special effects and acting from Benedict Cumberbatcth and it was a lot of fun. Its totally entetaining. The thing that stops it getting a higher rating though is that the story and villain are very average and cliche.theres really nothing new there beside the cool effectz and i feel with a concept like magic the movie coukd have been so much more interesting storywise.
Plus the whitewashing was totally unnecessary and there is like only one asian character and he too hardly has anything to do other than be used mainly for comic relief. I thought at one point he would get an awesome scene but nope not even that. For a movie focussed so heavily on asian mythology that was really disappointing and frankly insulting.

fantastic beasts and where to find them- Finally a hollywood movie this year that satisfied me completely. 10/10 I just totally loved it. Im sure part of itsl is due to nostalgia but it was just all done so well..the magic was incredible. I loved the beasts. And i also enjoyed the overarching story. zIt had just the right amount of hunour and drama without compromising one for the other And thank god it didnt have another end of the world plotline. My only possible negatives are that it does start a bit slow and im not really feeling the end johnmy depp ad grindelwald reveal..he looked and seemed a bit comical but that doesnt really affect this movie..only future ones potentially. I liked the acting by Eddie..perfect as Newt. Jacob as a character was the surprise star of the movie..great writing and acting. And I loved Colin Ferrell. Would have liked to see more of Ezra as Credence but he did well with what he had.

La La Land - 7/10
Easily the most overrated movie of 2016. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice movie but that's it really. The insane hype this is getting is crazy and bizarre. And how the f*ck is Emma BA frontrunner? Hell, even Gosling was better than her.
The Handmaiden - 10/10
What a movie! I wasn't expecting it to be this explicit lmao, but damn those plot twists were on point. Park Chan-wook did it again!

Captain America: Civil War - 9/10
Has there ever been a run like this? Marvel just keeps doing it over and over again. Another brilliant movie. An action blockbuster, packed with a terrific story, with a lot of well-time humor thrown in - I couldn't help but laugh out loud at "Anyone seen that old movie Empire Strikes Back?". Very well done.

I found the first three quarters a total yawnfest and the last part crawled up to 'ok'. I'm totally bamboozled by the hysteria it has created. It also irritates me that there is such awe at this supposed novel approach it has taken by including songs and dances in the film - yet Bollywood is usually derided for doing the same thing. There was no charisma, no chemistry to the love story and I couldn't care less whether the couple ended up together or not. This compared to Mr Nobody, a 2014 film I watched on-line. Amazing, bizarre, thought-provoking film with a love-story that I really cared about.

Lion 9/10
A tiny lull in the middle of the film but otherwise totally gripping. Beautifully acted, deeply moving, raises all sort of issues. I found myself in tears right from the beginning and, amazingly, there was clapping in the audience at the end - don't think I've seen that before where I live. And the little kid who played the main character - omg! He was incredible!

This is one of the reasons why I don't take the Oscars seriously anymore.
