I saw Manmarziyaan too. I liked it. It was a real and refreshing take on a conventional love triangle. The usage of songs was nicely done too. Great performances from Taapsee and Vicky, Abhishek paled in comparison.

Was re-watching Lakshya again. What a movie. It will always feature in my top-10 favorite movies of all time. Everything is so perfect - the casting, the performances, the music, the script, the direction, the background score, the action and drama. Was shocked to find out that this movie flopped. I think it would have been a big hit if released today
It was the perfect mix of two different genres - coming of age story with a war film. Hrithik's character's progression from a lost teen to a determined soldier is just superb. I wish Farhan returns to direction soon - all the movies which he has directed have been very memorable

Kedarnath
Not too sure about this one. I want to like it, but I didn't quite get into it. Maybe because I watched it after Gully Boy which I loved.
Sara was very good, Sushant was sweet but he wasn't anything more than that. Songs were nice. Liked the styling of Sara. For me, the love story wasn't strong enough. The flooding scenes were well done.

What a heart wrenching and beautiful movie. Stunning in every single way. I don't remember the last time I felt such a spectrum of emotions. Varun was absolutely incredible.

PK - 5/10
Well late to the party yes. But what a big swing and a huge miss from Raju Hirani. While there is plenty to love about the first half and I was on the floor laughing through the whole Gandhi-in-different-forms-and-value gag, but the second just meanders along unbelievably aimlessly. This could have been a home run, given the topic they chose to address. But what a wasted opportunity.

Badla - 8/10
Absolutely riveting stuff. Tapsee is such an unconventionally brilliant actress. There is a little bit of a leap of faith. Plus, the entire climax hinges on playing really loose with the legal code, and that is putting it very mildly. Enjoyed it nevertheless.

Haider
Had never seen this movie before, loved it. The music was great and the performances, especially Shahid and Tabu, was really good. Looking forward to watching Omkara and Maqbool as well now.

Raman Raghav 2.0
Quite enjoyed it. Vicky and Nawaz were really good. Liked the dark theme, wasn't as violent as I expected, as they didn't show too much of it. Was interesting how both characters had their similarities, despite being on opposite sides of the law.
Kesari
Couldn't get into the film at all. Felt no empathy towards the characters despite it being a true event. OK songs. Slow motion was jarring. Family liked it ,being a Sikh family, they lapped up the 'heroics'.

Bharat It's a decent watch and not a crapfest like Salman's last two Eid releases (Tubelight and Race 3) but the story held a lot of potential which is barely explored so it ends up being a pointless movie.
It's told in flashback mode, going from episode in Bharat's life to another but it's filled with unnecessary scenes, dance sequences and jokes.

Kalank
Just as suspected from the trailer, the film is visually pretty but nowhere near the brilliance of SLB. There's no emotional connection despite it trying to be an intense love drama. Varun - Alia is a great pairing, but their love story is badly done. Love the title song. Poor vfx, especially during the bullfight scene. Aditya and Sonakshi are wooden, Sanjay has nothing to do. Madhuri is Chandramukhi all over again. Overall, the movie is pretty but hollow.

Motichoor Chaknachhor 4/5
What a beautiful tender film. I went in without expectations but this film really surprised me. Well written, great performances by Nawaz and Athiya.
