That looks quite awesome. Just like every Snyder movie trailer Yeah that's hte only real worry for me, that the movie might not be as awesome as trailer, cause Man of Steel's trailers were amazing too. Not that the movie was bad , I remember really liking it the first time, but with repeat watches, my liking has gone down and I would consider it only a decent movie. But the main thing is we have a different writer this time.

New Trailer
Looks awesome, though was a bit thrown by the tone at first as it's lighter in tone compared to previous trailer but I think it's good, shows the movie won't just be all doom and gloom (not that I necessarily mind that if done well but I think for most people they wouldn't like all dark). I do think the background music wasn't good here though, I feel it didn't have the same epic feel as the previous trailer. And it does look like they gave the whole story away, but then again this is the story I (and probably most others) expected already so not really surprised. There wasn't much else they could do with a batman v superman movie. Still I do hope there will be something unexpected in the actual movie.

Good trailer. Didn't get Lex Luther getting excited over Bruce Wayne meeting Clark Kent, given Clark Kent is just a normal news reporter.
Didn't really like the last 20-30 seconds. That big monster coming down and all the buildings being destroyed seemed a bit childish and fake and similar to what we've seen in past superhero films. Ben Affleck also looked weird as Batman in that portion. All in all, that sequence (including wonder woman showing up) was a bit meh, not something befitting an epic film which we hope for/expect this to be.

Looks good overall, but nothing special. Yet another superhero movie with the only difference being it will be a battle between Batman and Superman (which is awesome).
But is anyone else starting to dislike Jesse Eisenberg in general? How many times will he play the shifty, awkward sounding, nerdman?

Lol the difference being batman v superman is exactly the point of the whole movie so you kinda contradicting yourself there. I agree about Jesse Eisenberg though, he is the main one I"m really worried about for this movie. All the other actors seem to fit the roles from trailers even Gal Gadot has grown on me. But Jesse definitely appears to be playing a version of Luthor that I'm not that big a fan of. however I can only hope that once he loses his hair he will be more like the Luthor I like (cold/calculating). Good trailer. Didn't get Lex Luther getting excited over Bruce Wayne meeting Clark Kent, given Clark Kent is just a normal news reporter. Didn't really like the last 20-30 seconds. Though yes big monster is nothing new but you do need a big threat to involve all three heroes especially considering Superman alone can take down most ordinary ones.

LOL !! I don't think it was a contradictory statement What I meant was, it really looks like a generic superhero movie despite the 'vs' part of it. One superhero not trusting another superhero, and then coming together to fight something bigger than then has been done plenty of times now. Only thing that does stand out is that this time it's the two most popular superheros going against each other. Other than that the story, treatment seem very generic (which I don't mind really)

^oh right you mean generic in that sense. I misunderstood you then. Well yes that's sorta true, that aspect has been done before, but I don't think it's ever been done to this extent on the big screen (other than a few scenes in Avengers movies). And obviously like you say it being the two most popular heroes makes it stand out.
But yeah I'm not really looking for anything really new in this movie, it's all going to be about the execution for me. As long as it's not just action and has some depth to the story, I will be happy.

That's true riverpanthera but it just seemed very generic and predictable (akin to what we already saw in the amazing spider man and avengers as you said). Unlike a generic superhero movie, I hope this film is deep and sophisticated like the dark knight trilogy and what we saw in the other bits of this trailer and also the first trailer.

^oh yeah I would also love it for it to be deep and sophisticated like TDK. But I don't know how much you can really do that in what is essentially a 'vs' movie.
But I agree, this trailer overall was focusing on different stuff compared to first trailer, I guess they want to target more people with this one.

This one cant be at the Dark Knight trilogy level because it is not written and directed by the Nolan family. Snyder tried to imbibe a bit of Nolanism in Man of Steel and failed miserably - came across as trying too hard. So its good to see he is not trying for that anymore (atleast what the trailer shows)

^Funnily enough, while this trailer seems to have been popular, for me personally it was the worst- though I think once again I was hugely influenced by the awful background music. Might have been better without it. The opening sequence with batman was quite awesome, but the rest of the trailer just seemed weirdly put together.
I think the comic-con trailer has been the best so far, I hope that is what the movie is like.
But I disagree re Nolan, I think him coming back wouldn't have worked, we need a fresh look, otherwise it would be too repetitive. I think he was already a bit burnt out by The Dark Knight Rises (which I did still love but it was the worst of the trilogy for me), so I dont' really know if he would have done well with another movie involving Batman.

Early reactions from the premiere seemed super positive but initial reviews coming in are average to below-average. I'm still super excited to watch it this Saturday though.

Same here - watching on saturday.
I watched the Dark Knight Trilogy and Man of Steel just to get myself pumped up, and I think it was a mistake. Man of Steel was awful on second viewing and I have no faith in Henry Cavill as an actor
And my love for TDK trilogy just grew even more - especially the last two movies. So it will be hard to ignore the brilliance of this trilogy when watching BvS - it will take something special from Snyder and Batfleck to match it or come even close to it

Reviews so far have been very bad, though there are some who've liked it. Makes me super worried, I'm seeing it in a few hours. I guess in a way it's good, my expectations have been lowered significantly. Looks like Man of Steel again with the trailers being better than the movie (though abhi I think awful is rather harsh, I think it's still an ok movie).
And as karan said, early screening reports were good, so perhaps this movie is more for fans than critics, in which case I might end up liking it. And I think even reviews have praised some of the performances.
Oh well, I'll find out soon enough. I hope at the very least it will be an entertaining movie and seeing Batman/Wonderwoman/Superman together on screen should be awesome. And I hope that this movie isn't terrible enough that they scrap any justice league plans. Hopefully all they'll do is replace Snyder.

Films a big as these we have to decide for ourselves cause I feel they can never really make everyone happy.
Plus I think most people have already decided its not good enough since the new Batman was cast.

Not saying the movie is bad, but I'm not really surprised by the reviews. Snyder was and will never be a critics fav. And his movies are always polarizing.
But I'm still looking forward seeing it on saturday.

And his movies are always polarizing. But I'm still looking forward seeing it on saturday. Exactly - and for good reason Snyder's movies go from being too flashy to too pretentious. MOS felt so laborious and heavy. He mistakes "symbolic imagery" for meaningfulness and soulfulness, and that is his biggest flaw. Only movie of his I liked was 300 - because he only focused on making it visually stunning and he is good with action sequences. I have low to medium expectations from BvS, so hopefully I won't be disappointed.
